I love that zoom-out at the end to put the scene into perspective. The whole time, I thought I was watching a single Brewer’s blackbird foraging, on an urban patch of grass, maybe a park… but you zoomed out and it was surrounded! 🤩 Besides the gulls I see and obvious widgeons I hear, am I seeing some type of goose, as well? Emperor geese? Also, are those night-herons or some type of egret…? I can’t tell. Thanks again.

After putting up 3 bird feeders in the backyard, I have mocking birds, cardinals, and for the first time, these little ones have come. They're all just so happy with these feeders in the big magnolia trees, and they're actually great neighbors for us and with themselves. 🙂

Man he's been through the wars! Just goes to show if you're a social bird in an urban environment you've enough about you to survive. Love the vocalisations. Awesome, Si.

Beautiful video! He makes a funny little sound with his beak. He is doing well despite missing a foot. Lovely bird.

Thank you! It wasn't until I reviewed the clip on a big screen that I noticed the foot. But, you're right, he seems to be coping ok. Thanks for watching!

You're welcome! Interestingly, we see a lot more European Starlings in our area than the Brewer's. Go figure.

It's funny that he puffs up when he makes his call.

Though they're apparently common, I don't see this bird in our area too often. Thank you for watching!

Poor bird's right foot is managed. But he survives. Tough birdie.

I see a lot of those birds at my high school. There would always be a flock of them in the trees while I'm at P.E.

I've certainly seen them before, but I see more starlings (which look similar to the Brewer's from a distance) in our area for some reason. Thanks for watching!

Cool. I recall you saying you hadn't filmed this bird yet from my understanding, correct me if I'm wrong.. love wigions whistle sounds in the background as well as the "caw caw caw caw caw" of mister Corvus Brachyrynchos
