Y'all didn't get the Aisha thing. She HAD to accomplish an ultimatum or Rudy wouldn't give her what she wanted. And Norn didn't even try and got what she wanted anyway. It's a layers thing. When dealing with kids they pay attention to the details of how you treat them. Details you wouldn't pick up on.

Paul is an honest genius who is indirectly saint class, Aisha has learned like two sword styles and all elemental magics at like 11, Rudeus was a saint class mage at five years old even Lilia was pretty above average in her prime.

I love how quick luke was to bring rudeues into the room, bro was like we from the same family i know how downbad we can be but say it aint so 😂

7:48 the washing the back thing is OK for Rudeus, since it conforms with Japanese bathing etiquette. It is a bonding exercise. In the book he did tell her to put on a towel, since she went in naked. And the thing with giving each what they wanted, Aisha sees it as unfair since she did spend her nights studying for a week for the exam to ace it, while Norn got below-average scores. In her eyes Norn hadn't earned the right to get what she wants. For Rudeus, he acquiesces to Aisha's demand to go against his better judgement since she's earned it through hard work, and Norn is allowed to go to the dorms because as a student she has that right and it's what he thinks is best for her.

Yeah, there is no lewd things happening in the show there, we would need a doujinshi for that XD Washing one's back is not that unusual in anime as well, but ok The show even tonned down to her wearing the outfit instead of a towel, even if it didn't make sense why she would since it would get her wet (because of the outfit)

2:30, when Eris left with Ghislaine, she clearly said she loves Rudy, but left to become stronger, so next time they meet orsted or he's in danger she'll be able to protect him. Plus i kinda wish they showed Ruijerd's full feelings, he really wasn't feeling Sylphie like at all. That's why he left immediately

In Norn's Perspective in the LN as far as I remember, she is an Average Person surrounded by Talented and Amazing People. She even sees that Aisha is smarter than she is. She was even being compared to Rudeus and Luke because of her being a Greyrat. That's why she feels so out of place in the new place and it's environment which Honestly I can relate almost 100%.

And the thing is, its all true. Norn keeps getting compared as average to her sister Aisha who is already a genius in literature, reading, mathematics and etc. To the point of even mastering elementary magic in each category. While rudy is ya know rudy. yet the only ironic part is that she doesn't see yet how much her siblings love her, and how her being "average" doesnt matter at all. Even all of her hard work and determination gets recognized in the future.

It was first time they skipped other than when Sylphie was having period - Cliff being typical emo self when Rudy asked things about friends and siblings. - Nanahoshi reminiscing about her young brother around Rudy's sister's age when he told her that his sisters in this world are staying with him. - Sylphie is still hesitating when Rudeus asked Sylphie what if he asked her to quit being Ariel's bodyguard when they went shopping together. - Rudeus tried to get Aisha to be more casual with him, but she is more determined to keep the professionalism if she became his housemaid. - Rudeus plans to teach Aisha some magic for self defense - Rudeus asked Linia and Pursena to help keep an eye on Norn after he scolded them.

Kinda sucks how much of the novel they sped through for this ep but I get it. One thing that didn't get conveyed well at all was that Rujierd was pretty upset by how Rudy replaced Eris so quickly in his persepctive. Rujierd trained Eris for *years* and became fully aware of how hard she had fallen for Rudy so it felt way too off for him to be back with Rudy and seeing him married happily to someone else. Made the scene with him addressing sylphy more impactful too bc up til then it was becoming a concern that he might resent her or have negative feelings towards her.

I think it's understandable LN is very slow burn, even the manga skipped some, its still a slow burn. Anime goal is supposed to promote the OG source, not become its own thing. I'll say this though that underwear sequences should be the one that needs to be skipped, it's bring nothing to the previous scenes even after too.

Ngl kinda glad they skimmed through this. It wasn't really my favorite part of the novel. I found it incredibly rude and it kinda irked me rudeus didn't point it out.

I just noticed that it's the same number of episodes with the Paul conflict in s1 and next ep will also be the perspective of Norn and its resolution.

Well I've seen other people also missed WHY she was upset initially (maybe the anime didn't make it as clear as it could have been like the source) because they both got what they wanted, so some people thought she was acting out for no reason. But because Aisha had to accomplish a goal get what she wanted, but Norn didn't and got what she wanted anyway. So Aisha took that as unfair.

I haven't even watched the reaction yet, but I knew they were gonna have something to say about that scene because every reactor I've seen so far had issues with understanding Aisha's pov as well. I see Ln readers contribute that to the fact that the anime cuts out stuff, but as an anime only, I still think you can kinda get why Aisha is upset if you pay attention to the context given. It's just not as spelled out because the anime leans way more into Rudy's pov

@@storm4710 those are separate parts. The "programming" of the circle was to summon a single, simple object of homogeneous material. I.e. the bottle itself. No contents, cap, label, or stains. It's a pure mass of polyethylene terephthalate. And it has no dents, so its pristine condition would foremost make one think it's from the factory floor, but it could be from someone's fridge, for all they know.

That's the surface level observation but there's more to it than that. Even though Aisha feels like a half-Greyrat, Norn feels like she's pathetic and out of place because she can barely reach the standard of what a Greyrat is. She's not as Talented as Rudeus, Headstrong as Luke, or as Smart as Aisha. She's just plain average. That's why she feels isolated. Even if she decided to separate with Rudeus to make her own identity she still can't escape it because she was being compared always to Rudeus knowing he is her Older Brother so expectations are created on her. She's going through something more heavy than you're being led to believe.

Many people misunderstood Aisha and Norn's situation when Aisha complains that Norn got what she wanted by going to live in the dorms even after failing the exam. (7:05) It is a childish thought of Aisha, but the difference that many people did not understand is that Aisha was forced to pass the university exam even without her wanting to study, since what she wanted was to be her brother's servant. On the other hand, Norn was given what she wanted even after failing and having "bad" behavior.

Ruijerd and Badigadi's beef goes all the way back to the Laplace War, some 500 years before. Laplace unified the Demon Continent by force and obtained the title of Demon God. The Superd were his top shock troops, and Ruijerd was their military leader. During the unification, Laplace also killed the Great Emperor of the Demon World, Kishirika Kishirisu. Badigadi was a Demon King heading the moderate faction on the Continent and Kishirika's fiance. Badigadi must've lost a lot of subjects to Superd spears.

In the light novel, during the conversation with ruijerd there was some more dialogue from ruijerd and monologue from rudeus, the gist was rudeus thought ruijerd was uncomfortable staying too long in the house because of the lack of Eris, rudeus thought Eris held the group together, and rudeus feared he was growing more distant with ruijerd before ruijerd reassured him. I am also uncomfortable due to the lack of Eris. I cannot wait to see her again 😢 She's definitely getting an ova or episode, maybe she'll get an ova every season

Yeah hopefully she gets more than 1 OVA somehow, feel like itd be so weird to cover her backstory as just a single episode since it would just be constant timeskips following her progress over the years. Doubt theyll have it just be a flashback of her describing her training arc since they already showed the other girl in the Badi episode and will need to explain that part..

kids can be hard to understand, and they can have a hard time understanding you too. not to mention, Rudy is already not that great at reading people in general so the whole situation is just not the best for him. of course its awesome to have his family close by where he can protect them and form closer bonds with them, but it's gonna take quite a bit of work to break through the barriers that Norn has put up without also making Aisha feel left out, like Norn is more important or something. they might be a bit of a handful but by the gods they are adorable

It's not about that she got what she wanted, its that she got the same ultimatum as Norn, and while she worked ass off for that reward, Norn got the "same" reward without making an effort or even succeeding, so in Aishas mind, she worked her ass off for nothing. Basically she sees it as favoritism. As an adult I can see Rudeus point of view and even agree with it; Norn is better off going to the dorms - but if I had been a child in Aishas age, I would've been pissed too.

I’m laughing at how they’re so concerned about Ruijerd saying goodbye forever here. It’s a legitimate concern! But also, he was so important for a pivotal part of Rudy’s life, that there’s no way they would offscreen him. No, no. You gotta make it hurt your readers/viewers. If it’s a real goodbye you want, then you have to make sure Rudy arrives right as Ruijerd is dying on a battlefield/dying of dysentery. I mean. What would hurt more: Rudy getting a letter that Ruijerd died elsewhere? Or Rudy getting a letter and then rushing out, only to see him die in front of his eyes? Ruijerd is way too important to NOT die in front of Rudy’s eyes. There’s no way this is the last we see of him.

The whole Aisha thing is because she does have an inferiority complex because of the circumstances surrounding her birth. So she's mad because what she wanted was to stay home but to get what she wanted she needed to work hard and get the grades Rudeus wanted (it was glossed over, but she worked really really hard to pass). Norn wanted to stay in the dorms and got her wish with no ultimatum or hard work. Hence Aisha with her inferiority complex already started wondering maybe, it's cause she's a half sis. It is better explained though, that the ultimatum was kinda for both, Aisha passing meant Rudy would let her do what she wanted, whether it was stay in the dorms or home. However Norn failing means school is compulsory and thererfore not full freedom before Aisha calmed down

Eris still my fav and she needs that closure moment. Like Ruijerd said, both are immature at the time for phrase their words properly and Rudy only suffering because of misunderstood from his part. We still need to hear Eris
