You know what? I've been GAS'ing for a guitar from the year of my birth, and I think a 1962 ES-125 might just fit the bill! Affordable too. And while I'm here, can I just give a shout out to Guitarpoint Guitars in Germany (I'm not advertising the competition, I doubt if any of Norm's customers would want to pay the shipping). Great alternative (or addition) to Mark if you want to see some vintage planks getting spanked. kzread.info/dron/E657sh-FvHnXTQI3ZLBqLg.html
Three killer songs, a cool guitar and a great player 🎸🔥🔥
Continually amazed by Mark’s playing. So many different styles and sounds. Truly inspiring. Thanks for all the hard work Mark and Jen. I’m sure these vids are sometimes the LAST thing you want to do at the end of the day. Norm give them both a raise already!
Thanks for the shoutout, Mark and Jen! Love you guys!
These videos always make me want to pick up my guitar and play...everyday! Thank you!!
Hey Mark... as a guitar mogul I really love hearing all the information you give about models. I learn a lot and listen like a pupil at school. This is simply lovely. Cheers from Berlin!
It’s rare that get here before Mike M.!!!

Max Fisher lol. I’m watching
Wow that's one of my favorites. It's beautiful and sounds even better.
Like so many great guitar players Mark plays not only with his hands, but with his face as well. Great stuff!
Always a pleasure to watch a master at work 😀
Thank you thank you for the back story and the provenance on these guitars you play / adds so much weight to the vids 😎❤️
Finally, I've waited a long time to see this model on here. wonderful sleeper guitar
Good job Mark and Jen
The smile on Mark's face when it started feeding back made the whole video worth it!!
Wayyyyy cool guitar🎸 and even cooler classic tone from those p90s. Looked like Mark was actually having a good time! Thanks guys! Byeeee
OMG. Super fine sound and playing!
I never got to hear blue on black for my b-day but it's all good lol I appreciate every episode you do I'll watch every one you do even the thumpin Thursdays I got every person in my family who plays a stringed instrument watching your videos so we'll be watching and listening just in case you happen to play it
Gotta give it up to Mark, he's a killer guitar player
Outstanding Mark! That box has a great sound.
Very nice seeing one of these....enjoyed the songs fit the guitar 👍🏻
Nice...love the explanation of the guitar model number. Seem to learn something every episode. Oh yeah, love the George T as well, well done again ......
I have the same version 125 TDC. Mine's from '65 with the chrome P90 pickup covers. It was a feedback monster. At first I stuck cardboard in the f holes then just relented and bought a new strat. This was back in '73. Talk about 2 ends of the guitar spectrum. Eventually sold the strat. Still have the 125.
Love the throughly Good stuff, well done!
Awesome playing as always... fun to see Mark struggle with feedback ! !
Just blooming lovely!!
merry christmas mark n jen!! love the show, cheers from seattle!
Mark killing it with the playing today.
Mark, Brilliant as usual.
my first guitar- i was 12- 1973- my dad got it for me, and had a friend who played in a band get me sstaarted on it- then Nugent and his Byrdland helped! cool vid dude thank you! i love my gibson
Best video so far in GoD. Oh and nice camera word today Jen. Like
I had that exact same guitar. I was jamming out with Jerry Garcia and Abraham Lincon. Good times.

Off to bed now waiting for Thumpin Thursday. We get the videos a day later. Keeping fingers crossed for a shout out Strataday for my 40th birthday. Watch every day. Huge fan. Thanks Mark and Jen.

Looks like you guys have a lot of fun in that back room
I am so happy! I have that exact same guitar (not as clean though) and I gotta tell ya they are barn burners! On one of the videos on your site Joe Bonamassa talks about how important it is ti use the volume control and these guitars are a great example of that. I play more jazzy stuff and I rarely open the volume pot up all the way and I get a nice sort of Charlie Christian sound. But it sure is fun to open it up all the way and rattle the windows for a while. These are great guitars and they are generally the most inexpensive of the ES guitars. There also seem to be quite a few of them out there so they are a great chance to get a great vintage guitar for a reasonable price. Thank you so much for finally doing one they are my absolute favorite of the ES guitars and I have been waiting forever to see one on GOTD. FYI there are some 3/4 size ones out there that are really cute!
Well played!
Greetings from Chile! I´m a big fan from southamerica!
Great stuff. I have no real interest in Gibsons, but your videos are informative and entertaining. I do like the 335s.
I love me some Thorogood! Great playing Mr. Agnesi!
Fun stuff Mr. Agnesi
man that is one smoking guitar! i wish I could get on that for a few hours.
nice slide work Mark
This thing is so fucking gorgeous I can't get over it. Seriously, LOOK AT IT!!! My absolute dream guitar. Fuck every other guitar in the world lol.

I have a 1969 version here in Michigan I’ve decided to sell this winter. Same heritage cherry sunburst, original hardshell case, great condition, and just checked over by Elderly Instruments in East Lansing. I might be headed to Sydney in March, coincidentally. TBD
That sounded exactly like the record on bad to the bone, great guitar! P90's are king!
Killer set Mark.
Plenty of big names come through the doors but nobody cooler than Mark and Jen.
Right up my alley on this.i love my 59 es175 With p 90s
Years ago I was just getting into G. Thorogood when SR Vaughn blew me away, but I always like George's gritty snarly sound with those P90's! Get one of these 125's and a LPJr. and you'll certainly have some weapons! Mark your playing's great!
Representing some George Nice!!! as usual a beautiful piece of wood !!!
My dream guitar!

About $7,000 today. I almost got one in 2004, but couldn't justify the cost and use of a vintage 1966 for working gigs.
You were freakin loving that Mark.
"Oh, yeah" says it all. Very nice.
my birthday is dec 14. a shout out would be cool. guitar of the day is my favorite part of the day
love it!
Move it on over!!!! Nasty guitar love it!!!!
Good stuff all the way around!
I love the boxy sounding click on the bass notes using the bridge PU.
That's it. My number 1 dream guitar right there."Yeeeeeeeeeeah with nobody else..."
Mark is amazing…
1. I Zip Alone 2. Zip it on Over 3. Bad to the Zip That guitar is Georgeous.
Just got one of those bad boys...super clean
I can dig it.
Sick!
Hey Mark! I don't know when you guys are going on break for the holidays but my birthday is Dec 28th. Thus, I would like to be entertained; I want you to play jazz on a fretless bass for Thumpin' Thursday. Or depending on the day, give me a killer maple-boarded strat. Thanks for providing the giggles and finger tickles. Edit: if you want to keep the respect of the viewers, I'd also be fine with you playing Bennie and the Jets for me.
Nice, very nice
Awesome 175-TDC. Great playing Mark! Think I'll go have one bourbon, a double scotch, and think I'll skip the beer! Cheers!

Nice Gibson!
Is there a song that you don’t know? Fantastic playing and great information on axe backgrounds Mark! Jen, as always, great videography. Do you think you could do Rory Gallagher tribute Strat? Hard to believe it’s 20 years gone by already.
Awesome
Very very nice
Bought this guitar when I was 12 for $500 in 1986. Still have it 100% bone stock exactly like this... minus that strap button. Thank you for not playing jazz. Lol

Love it...Do a v please
Please please do more B.C. Rich guitars!!!!!!! I know you probably don’t get that many but please do them whenever you get them in. I’m still drooling over that 10 string Bich from awhile back.
Damn, Mark can just about anything.
yayyyyyyy Mark Thoroughlygreat
Similar to a Guild Stsrfire 2 w/trapeze tail piece. Sweet-👍🏽
DAMN AGNESI!!! I Know you can play but MAN OH MAN what a SWEET JOB on ' I drink alone' . Also your choice with the Slide, using metal instead of Glass, much more of that tinny sound. You should DEFINITELY work more Lead Riffs into your Demos. HI JEN..............🎸💚
#wewantweirdasswednesday
Holy shit that’s sweet!
Oh, hell yes!
Authentic playing, right down to the roughed up brassie. Agnesi and The Cleveland Destroyers.
Hey Mark! Can you do The Cure acoustic this coming Friday? My bestfriend Joe is in the hospital. He’s a big fan of Guitar of the day and massive fan of The Cure. I hope you can play a couple of songs for him while recovering. He’d greatly appreciate it plus The Cure are also celebrating their 40 years anniversary. It would be a fitting tribute for them and for my friend Joe. Thanks a lot!
