It’s funny how Norman was kind of looked over as a star in the 80s and 90s and thought of as old hat… but looking around now at so called celebrities none of than have even 10% of the talent he had. Timing, acrobatics, delivery, acting… he had it all. A real superstar.

I liked the stop sign scene in this film, where the big macho sargent, swiftly steps in to aid his superior who is being prevented by Norman from turning the road sign from stop to go. The sargent takes over and begins trying to turn the sign found, but is also prevented by Norman from doing so. The Sargent quickly realises that this won't be easy, as although he stands approximately eight inches taller than Norman and is far heavier, Norman is very strong. He also cannot budge the sigh as Norman holds the other side, and knowing that Norman's one arm is far too strong for his, the sargent has no option but to resorts to using both his arms, but unbelievably for him, he finds himself still struggling to make any inroad, and then leans into the sign with the full force of his arms and body and begins to strain and grunt with effort, whilet Norman continues to hold it steady still using one hand and an effortless expression on his face. The Sargent is now straining so much, which is making his face turn beatr red and sweat is pouring down his forehead, but his pride won't let him give up against the much smaller man. Norman then thinks now enough is enough and is an act of physical triumph, briskly swivels the sign round in the direction the Sargent who is putting every ounce of effort into turning it, causing the sign to turn round very rapidly and causing the sargent to be sent sprawling in the opposite direction and almost loosing his footing, but definitely losing his pride.
