@@DvellTechTips well it will work on small speakers because the parts aren't heavy enough to move the coil to a point that it will scrape to the magnet but with bigger speakers good luck lol you will need that piece no matter what they dont put the spider for nothing ya know

Voice coil life will be so short 😂

At first,Spider sticks the coil to the speaker so it is most important part and the second is coil need to be changed as subwoofer coil has much more layer than the normal speaker.... looks like it worked but not so applicable for permanent buildup for subwoofer speaker

hey don't do that with your speakers! First, the spider keeps the voice coil centered in the magnet gap, after cutting the spider, the voice coil will strike the magnet, and the insulating layer on the coil's wire will be destroyed, which will burn it and even damage the amplifier by short-circuiting. no point doing this; good luck;)

You can stick a passive radiator diaphram on the speaker cone and its will give working like this. And we don't need to wast a speaker

Hey! Whenever you see there's the curtain of the speaker is somewhat blown-like, it means that it **is a WOOFER**. What you converted it into was a subwoofer. So actually, you converted a brand woofer to a mini subwoofer.

Thats a wrong explanation of woofer.by just changing the cone, doesnt make a sepaker into subwoofer. Its still just a full range speaker,

@@samannoyb no.. It wasn't.. Its full range. Not subwoofer. Subwoofer plays only low frequency, usually ranged 20hz to 200hz. Subwoofer produce only deep bass, no treble.

You have increased the weight by sticking the whole thing instead of the only the coil. 2ndly the depth of the cool is now reduced because the 1st one was deeper and it won't give you full effect.

I guess this would work, but I don't see a real need nor use case to do this, any woofer below like 4" will not produce significant bass, unless you push some serious power through it, but at 5w you will not get very far. but a cool idea nonetheless!

Sin "Spider", es muy fácil que quede mal centrada la bobina y que toque el imán, por lo que no tendría buena calidad de.sonido, además esa tela café, es para evitar el polvo entre la bobina y el imán. Y al menos en México más barata una bocina que un radiador pasivo del mismo tamaño. Conclusión, una modificación que no tiene ningún sentido hacerla.

Hey just letting you know that driver most the time those can take base but the voice calls very small and that that passive radiator is metal I tried the same thing because I had a passive radiator that is the same shape as with my old TV speaker so I put it on there and then the voice goes too small but it's a very powerful voice call and it just crumbled the cone so my idea is to look for a very very shallow speaker with a very tall voice coil because that will help the passive radiator get the direct sound instead of the cone in there flexing I've had it happen and I try to look for a way bigger speaker or look for one that has a large voice coil so if you have any old speakers that are you know disposable check the voice coil size it has a decent size voice coil like a 1 to half an inch I think those would be decent for what you want to use but that voice called there seems like it was severely underpowered well overpowered for what it's being used for at least I had some pretty bad luck when I tried to do that conversion with a TV speaker because the cone crumbled very very quickly as soon as I started playing anything that involved base

Você não converteu em subwoofer porque não tem filtro de grave ou seja também passa as alta frequência como um speakrs normal porém este cone que você usou e com uma borracha mais macia por isso dá esse efeito mas o vídeo e bom

@@the_real_space kkkkkk concordo com você porque não faz o menor sentido isso que ele está fazendo e falando, se você pegar um subwoofer desses de homecinema ou de carro e meter pra funcionar em qualquer amplificador sem filtro neum você vai notar que sim passa frequência alta pro sub pass os médios e os agudos e o grave porém no subwoofer isso fica mais basso como se tivesse uma esponja absorvendo essas frequências pois um subwoofer é projectado para trabalhar com frequência baixa o (sub grave) e não com frequência média e alta por isso não faz sentido agora se você colocar um Woofer esse sim vai reproduzir todas as frequências por ser Woofer e full range o que ele fez no vídeo foi tornar um Woofer (mais macio possiblitando na hora do grave, graves mais macios e aveludados ) não o transformou em subwoofer pois até a bobine de um sub é diferente a de um Woofer.
