Dr. Paul, I think you forgot to add this video to your Obstetrics playlist
Dr. Paul, you can be very funny sometimes. I just love to listen to you. Some humor aids learning. Thank you so much for being an excellent teacher!
Dr. Bolin, You have the best summarised video of all we have to perfectly know for Labour in OB thus far. I mean, this is better than how my textbook puts it. The pictures are great. I wrote my notes based on your video. Thank you so much! Please continue your great work. May God bless you.. ps: I will quote you in my practical exam.

Basically external rotation during cardinal movement happens when the shoulders about to approach the ischial spine, that is when the widest diameter of the shoulders would get compress by the spine otherwise. This is why we have to externally rotate?
Excellent.
Thanks

Thank you for your kind words!
The baby is out, the mother is crying...lol
Not sure what you mean by dividing the length of the cervix by two. If the cervix is fully effaced, the length would be 0. 0/2 times 100 is 0. Do you mean the length of how much got effaced/2?
Sir this video is very enlightening…could you also make a video on labour in breech presentation?will be very helpful ….thank you

Minimum intervention please, labor can happen without any of this .... doctors have to know when they need put his hands on it...
active stage starts from 6 cm and not 4 cm.

For testing purposes, I think this depends on your current level (I'm still a student). First Aid for OBGYN states it's 4 cm, while uptodate lists 5 cm for multiparas and an indeterminate diameter higher than that for nulliparas.

Ryan Corn newly updated Kaplan notes also mention 6cm now. Numerous other sources mention 6cm too.

Thank you. I believe 6 cm is the true number, but since shelf exams lag behind new sources I'll add 4 cm to the info I'll have to regurgitate and forget.

According to British guideline (Patient.info) active stage starts from 3-4 cm. So it is all about where you are sitting the exams.
