I love how i can actually feel the ambience of the room. Clashing drum sticks, Cory with his screams, studio fun talk, heavy guitar feedback. It just feels so live. But man, the sampling on lot of NJ interludes and certain songs makes it so rich. Norma Jean has always such a huge soundscape.
This is exactly what I want to see from a band and producer with such talent. A peek behind the curtain.
1994 is the year I was born. Song sounds sick
This is so cool
This is awesome! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and where all those interesting sounds originally come from 👍
Man, I'd love to see track by track breakdowns. The amount going on 1994 alone is immense
I was not expecting this intro! Such a wild way to start the album.
Thank you for doing this! I love to see songs like this dissected. I’m left astounded by how much hard work goes into crafting even something as unassuming as an intro to a song, let alone a whole song. Breakdowns like this really reinforce how much of an art songwriting truly is.
The album is so good, can't wait to hear it live in the UK some time
This is seriously the coolest thing ever. You guys are so talented! Love this breakdown of it all.
awesome!!!! good times
That was excellent. I always wonder where some of the sound samples came from. Norma Jean has been the soundtrack from my teenage years to my 40s... through the Army, Iraq, College, 2 kids and 15 years of working in the woods. Thanks guys.
crazy that norma jean uses ableton. makes sense, they were always ahead of most npc hardcore bands
The edited guitars give me HUGE Minus the Bear/Dave Knudson vibes and I'm all about that.

Please make more of these breakdown videos. Very cool.
This is incredible. Album was an absolute banger.
Yes please, more of this 👍
this rules. amazing content, thank you
I’ve been a fan since day one pretty much & this has been by far the most fun NJ album to ingest…what was so weird for me was I didn’t know what to think out of the gate and my crutch was my understanding of the passion y’all have for creating …so I kept listening over and over leaning into that “understanding” -I’ve come to ABSOLUTELY love this album -possibly more than all the rest …so so good ! Thank you guys so much!
Thanks for sharing this it’s so awesome! The sounds you crafted blow my mind.
So dope! Would love to see more!
This is incredible! Please consider making the stems available for download !!!!!!
Woah
Thanks for all your hard work, fellas! This record is perfect for punch-dancing out all my rage!
Super cool video. Would love to see more stuff like this about the new album. It's a masterpiece!
Love this behind the scenes stuff
Dude.... you did SUCH a good job on this album. I can't believe I might say this but.... it's the best Norma Jean album of all time. Yes.... better than Bless the Martyr
I feel like this song is the soundtrack to when Jesus was flipping over the tables in temple.
Awesome!!! Love to see more of these. I thought everyone used protools, but it looks like Ableton. (Tho I've never used protools so it could be, dunno what interface look like...)

To be honest when I listened to this song for the first time, I was like „WTF is this weird shit?“😅 It‘s actually pretty interesting now to to see it all unfolded and explained.
