Norma BONDSTRIKE™ 6.5 field test at 1000 meters
Ғылым және технология
In late 2019 and in the final phase of production, Norma's Key Account Manager and former international champion shooter, Anders Brolund brought two cartridges of BONDSTRIKE™ in 6.5x55 SE for a special field test. The challenge was to hit the target at 1000 meters, in just two attempts. Do you think he made it? 🍉

Good to see you are using the 6.5x55. I think it has stood the test of time, over 120 years old and still going strong.
50 years ago, I bought a 6,5x55 Swedish short carbine, my first Deer rifle. And Norma was my go to ammo, and I still like it.
Well done, sir!!!
Super shot !
Snyggt Anders 👌
Pretty cool, can't wait to try mine in the field 🦌
Well done. Can you tell me what kind of barrel did you use? 17mm Standard about length 580mm?
Congratulations 😉
That’s good shooting ! Most people put up a target the size of a sheet of plywood!
With the 1921 swede mauser in 6.5 x 55mm , i outshot two at 100 yards and those 2 had a 270 with a hi dollar scope.i had iron sights. Those two were NOT happy campers ! 😂
Nice
Hi, What scope did you use?
Gostei.... 6,5x55 ou 6,5x05???
The best caliber I have.

We are a big fan as well
At that range that bullet has 605 ft lbs of energy
And it is a Blaser!
I.miss my 6.5 x 55 Swede Mausers!!!
Why is Norma Whitetail in 7mm 150 gr Remington magnum not loaded to over 3100 fps. I compared that Norma load to Remington's 7mm Remmag corelokt tipped ,that has a listed 3130 fps mv and retains velocity ( about 200 fps greater and all ranges ) better. C'mon Norma, crank it up, just to match Remington. I'll be buying Bondstrike in the future.

All expanding bullets have minimum and maximum impact velocities. Push them outside that envelope and they’ll either “explode” or fail to expand.
Hey, what is that app on 1:07?

Well, the Norma Ammo team should correct me, if needed, but since it is a norma add, i suspect the app might be normas own ballistic app. Otherwise i doubt they would have let the camera pan over it, like they did.
bullet weight? 140grs?

Snyggt skjutet, men ni hade väl kunnat visa hela processen i stället?

// Robert, Norma
Hi there, May be nobody watches this three-year-old video anymore, but, I have a question: I am a bonded bullet man. I like them, believe in them, use them, etc. But, I always hear from Norma that the Bondstrike is "perfect for long range". That, translated, means that is intrinsicaly SOFT, as the Oryx is. I know that from experience. So, the Bondstrike, is supposed to perform great at slow velocities such as those of the 9.3x62. Please, could you give some mor insight information about the "green band" of velocities it performs ideally?

Hi Luis, thank you for asking we are always here to help. The Bondstrike has its limits considering real close range shots at certain calibers. This is due to the thinner front jacket compared to the oryx. Due to the superior bonding the bullet performs best between 50-400 meters or even further depending on the caliber. It’s actually a great allrounder because it works so well on 95% of the common hunting situations. The Oryx has the best bonding out of our product range. It works fantastic on short ranges and stays intact - has its limit on longer ranges - where the Bondstrike performs.
You hit the bottom of it

It's still a lethal hit at a full klick, I don't see your issue.

@@geoffreyjohnston6483 He said in the video a little high, but he was looking at it upside down. The video showed it was nearer the bottom. I'm guessing that's what Anthony meant. Anyhow, excellent shot regardless, he hit the watermelon at 1km so I'm impressed.
Ok for a Moose? What if it's at 100 yards?

Yes most definitely 👍🏻 it’s all about shot placement
Has anyone done a 6mmx55 SE? I bet it would be better than the 6mm Creed.
