Norm is my favorite stand up comic of all time I was lucky to attend one of his performances in 2019... I was loosing my breath laughing so hard. I will never forget that moment.

No one has their delivery perfectly timed like Norm McDonald. Notice how even back in the 90s he had a barb regarding who was calling the shots in DC... "this Chinese guy here". He'll be missed by so many of us who watched his career grow in real-time for years to come, meanwhile many younger people will find clips of him all over and keep his comedy alive.

Norm explaining the joke when it bombs are some of my favorite few seconds of comedy. Spade said that for most when a joke bombed in dress rehearsal for SNL, everyone else would cut it for the live show. Norm however, if he thought it was funny, would do it anyway.

Norm played "the dumb guy" so well. And I say that affectionately. He also had a funny way of telling bad jokes. Almost like he could care less if he got laughs from the audience. I can't think of many comics who could do that.

I was expecting Rondo to laugh way harder after he said "eyebrows" to himself @15:21 and it ended up being Norm's actual punchline, lol.

It's awesome to see you guys react. Even when you don't get the jokes. Because you're young. Enjoy your youth boys and keep comedy alive.

The Richard Gere comment nearly ended me. The urban legend of him with a gerbil up his backside is hilarious. Love Norm, too - RIP. What a legend.

Allegedly Gere was a part of a group of people who fetishized rodents rooting around their backsides and hopefully returning before getting lodged within the intestines. There are a few Southpark episodes about an intrepid gerbil named Chilliwinks, I think. In a later episode the voyager becomes Paris Hilton somehow. Spoiler!
