I've fallen in love with it and I really didn't think it was all that special at first. It. Alva surprised me and has been a real game changer for me because of the way I have to wear my hair for work. It's all in the bangs Sister lol

You look adorable! So happy your back. Was always a fan of yours. I'm turning 76 this year. Durning covid shut down, I let my hair go Grey. Trending now to hair clip on's & up do' or caps with pony tails when out & about. It's easier for me at my age & home alone 90 % of the time anyway. Back in the day I used many of your tips, & bought several of the styles you featured. Some of the items in your background I have on my wall 😂. Don't worry about your lightening nor set up. We're just happy your back. Keep smiling & keep filming, even if it's not new styles or wigs. Oh Wow, you spoke to my heart and my soul sat up and listened to what you said - show you my new life now... I like that! I just realized that was what was taking me so long to get back, my life now! It's so different! It isn't what I picked for myself or sought after, the way I chased down my professional career back before all this happened. No I don't think so. A lot of men Ive noticed growing up like long dark hair and tanned ladies. The blonde really looks good on you .I can't do blonde like I did in my teens when I put blonde on my hair I look way older and looks like gray hair .But it looks natural and wonderful on you.

I love how different the Sugar Cane R falls into shape from the Iced Mocha R - I would argue they be two totally different wigs styles if I didn't know any better 🤪

@@DawnStamper Nataliap exclusive color is Sunlit Sable. Brown roots with warm blonde highlights. The style really frames the face and looks the most natural per my daughter. I do trim bangs into all my wigs. I am going to be 73 this year and still into bangs and mid length hair, blonde highlights still. 💕 I think Natalia would look Gorgeous on You and your beautiful eyes!💕 I also love your makeup!

Ohhhh my, the new Alva is simply heavenly!!! Adored the styles that you did also and she seems to look so dang good any which way you wear her!! If you like bangs Debra, I don't think you will regret getting an Alva. It has such a good bang! I fuss with the hair around the front of my face in wigs, but never when I have on Alva. Such a surprise for me - I didn't know I was going to love this one so much!

@@DawnStamper No problem. Sometimes these "Karens" can get on my nerves from time to time. One time at church i had one really acting out. I said, to her "Well if you have a problem with that i suggest you take it to the LORD! I didn't have any more issues after that 😅 Yes, around a year ago i got a finn wig. Total disaster for me. I think maybe it may have had a manufacturing defect. But i was very disappointed because all of the reviews on youtube portrayed this wig to be very flattering So i wound up with a medium auburn with highlights in the Jessica by Estetica. I get many compliments on it. Looks like Autumn on my head 😅

One of the reasons I watch is that I too part on the right. I'm blind in my left eye so I always want to part right-side and keep that right eyesight as clear of hair as possible. I've had Alva in Iced Mocha for awhile and she has sat in the box because I just couldnt make her look right on me...maybe I will give her another try, and style her like you do.

Yes orianichelle! Please Please get her back out and play around with her.... I also got the first Alva and put it back in the box for weeks because I wasn't ready to change from the curls of Broadway. Now I wish I would have pulled it out sooner because I got pleasantly surprised. It's the awesome bang for me! It falls just right on me and never gets wonky or out of place like most styles do in the front. Keep me posted on how you do with it. Oh, and don't think you can't purchase a mono left side part - Yes you can (and I do) buy mono left side parts and flip them to the right.... No rules Baby!!!

@@DawnStamper Well, I got the silicone cream from Amazon and you put quite a bit on the wig fibers and the sink. Then let it soak for about an hour or longer. Wash with wig shampoo or just rinse and style. This is just what I do when it looks like the end of the road! Love and blessings ♥️🙏

I am a blonde an would like to get Alva.My hair is cut like that but thinning bad on top an crown area.Sugar cane looks more platinum blond in your light.My hair has more gold in it.I hope to find a good color.The blonde looks really good on you.I subscribed because you seem to know alot about wigs.

I really enjoy your videos- you are 100% authentic it seems to me. I am getting Alva next. Looking forward to Finn. I bought it and hate it on me. It was beautiful on the person in video but I looked like the cowardly lion with all the rather tight curls. Thinned it, added bangs, etc. Just never looked like hers. Disappointing. Hope to see your review soon. Maybe my wig was defective. 😢

I'm not familiar with Sunflower so let me look at it - are you saying you want to know what Sunflower dupes there are in a less expensive line? I'm tired so I may not be thinking straight over what you mean about dupes. I purchased this Alva and the Estetica Finn that came with it each under $100 off a Clearance section of a company that had both of these available at the time I was looking. I just have to save every penny since I am supporting myself with only my little income job 😊 My apologies if you are looking for a high end style 💞

@@DawnStamper HEY Broadway, hope you don't mind the nickname.😉 Yes, maybe try a desk or table and one of those round stools that rotates 360 degrees. I got one of those a while back from a thriftstore. Maybe set a vanity mirror on the side too so you can see better while doing your awesome updos. Just a suggestion. And of course it depends on the way your space is layed out. And on overcast days if you do not want to make a video thats fine too. 😎

I forgot to mention. The reason i suggested the window is because i have an Antique makeup table sitting in front of my bedroom window and i can see so much more accurately doing my hair and makeup. Then on overcast days i use the lights on my vanity mirror. The bulbs are like bigger than a c5 bulb size. Works very well. Anyhoo, i would watch you even if you filmed it in a closet haha. Enjoy your ideas, because the rest of us are with you..☕

Hey Dawn, on the metal stays you made me think about the metal ear tabs. They also bend, how are they meant to be worn? Once you put it on do you bend them into the side of head? Or does it matter? I know this is probably a silly question lol

No, not silly at all - I wear a wig grip every time I wear a wig so I bend the ear tabs in at the wig grip... Do you wear a wig grip Bella?

Would you describe the color of Sugar Cane R in your words. I haven't had any luck with color everything I've ordered I had to return because it just didn't look like any color I've ever seen before and no way I would leave my house in them. I always order blonde shades but they never look blonde. Also what company did you purchase from If you don't mind my asking.

Sure Sweetheart - but just a couple questions for you... Are you a blonde naturally? I mean, is or was your bio hair blonde? And do you know if your complexion is cool or warm in tone? Sugar Cane R is a warm blonde so it's going to have gold or be more over gold in the base. The R in Sugar Cane R stands for root. So the wig can be purchased in "Sugar Cane", which would not have the appearance of a root growing out from a hair color job. Sugar Cane R is a color option that I purchased which looks like my hair color is growing out and I might need to go for a touch up soon 😜. You may not be able to identify yourself in any of these blondes you've purchased because they might not be the best match for your personal skin tone - warm or cool. Warm tone people are more yellow in their shin color and Cool tone skin has pink or blue or grey - does any of this make sense to you??? I might be confusing you even more and I don't mean to do that - let me know if this helps or does not help because I feel like I can help you get to the right color

I love love love Alva but it doesn’t come in a large. It’s my favorite and it’s disappointing that they don’t my size.

I use a velour wig grip. It's my favorite! It really is the best thing for me and my particular head shape. I pull what hair I have left to the back, and down into a low ponytail. Then slip the velour wig grip, with the rough side going back, underneath the ponytail. I dive forehead first into the wig and pull it down underneath the ponytail in the back too - I have a little video up from several years ago, showing my method if you want to see it in action. The picture of the video is me, in all my natural hair, holding up a spray bottle of Armor All. I can link it for you if you can't find it. Have you tried a wig grip?

@@Bepike funny you would think that but, on me, it makes the wig super secure. I honestly don't know how it works but, I have been in 32 mph wind gusts here, today in fact, and my wig is more secure than anything else I am wearing! Strange as it may seem 🤪 Have you ever tried the velour wig grip?

@@DawnStamper No, brand new to wigs. I've just learned never to give PY any more business for a few reasons. Part of the learning curve I guess. I'm sure I'll be getting a wig grip soon. Godiva's Secret Wigs has an excellent video on how to make it larger. Thanks for your speedy replies.

I have several Alvas. Most of the parts look natural (they are rooted), but my ICED MOCHA R, the part looks like a nasty birds nest....UGH, I hate that:-( What do I do to make it look natural??? That's why I usually hate basic caps:-(
