Join Nordship Yachts’ CEO Thomas Hougaard for a walkaround tour of the new custom-built Nordship 500 DS deck saloon sailing yacht, from Danish sailboat builder Nordship Yachts.
With a full custom interior that can be designed, styled and laid out to your wishes, Nordship can build your dream boat. This Nordship 500 DS has a raised deck saloon with 360-degree views and a lower, aft galley arrangement. She also has three double berth cabins including a forward cabin, mid-cabin, and a full-beam en suite owner’s cabin. Her spacious design allows for the galley to be located forward of the saloon, in the raised saloon area, or low down aft of the saloon, beneath the cockpit. The choice is yours.
She has the option of a self-tacking jib or (as in this yacht) an overlapping genoa. Other options include a fin keel, twin keels or a lifting keel, davits or a tender garage, and twin or single helm positions; to name a few
The 500 DS is a centre cockpit long-distance cruising yacht designed for ocean voyages.

Absolute stunning lady so beautiful
Beautiful yacht. I don't get why they can't have a 100 kW LFP Battery, and a solar array on deck instead of a diesel these days though. Then you can loose the need for gas cookers too. If you can get 550 km range on an EV out of that battery, then it should be more than fine to drive a prop for a very long range - and get some recharge from the solar to help too - even if the solar just runs the lighting and cooker.

This is indeed a good idea and we can do that. Each Nordship is custom build according to the wishes of the owner, we are doing our best to meet every customers need. Looking forward to build a NS 500 with these features!

Warum sind Sie mit diesem herrlichen Schiff nicht zu Europas Yacht des Jahres nach Port Ginesta gefahren? Keine Lust, für 4 Dutzend Pressevertreter 2 Wochen lang High Life in Barcelona zu finanzieren? Stattdessen lieber soliden Schiffbau betreiben? Dafür habe ich Verständnis, weiter so.
missed opportunity to put internal controls or at least navigation table in salon with such a view.

Every Nordship is build according to the wishes of the owner. We can easily put internal controls and a navigation table in the salon and would be pleased to do so!

It's the perfect "sailboat" to drink sherry at the weekend and have an affair at the hotel without leaving a trace, but I wouldn't prefer it to sail the open seas and travel the world.
