For one last time, we'll be looking back to the year 2014, were drifters weren't banned immediately and the variety of cars on track was greater compared to today. Obviously the quality of the videos isn't like the 4K you're used from us, but we hope you guys enjoy the video anyway!

A fun fact: BMW drivers can drift proper on a wet road, but they crash on a sunny day trying to take a corner.

Less grip means slower, more gentle losing and regaining grip, and the lower overall speed, so it is easier to control the car. Also, drift is a planned skid, so the driver is not surprised by the situation. Zasada 3 times European rally champion in 60ies, remarked that the lower the grip, the easier it is to control the car, and that the overall safest surface is gravel, because it offers a good compromise between grip and vehicles gentle behaviour.

On wet surface you go slower than dry. So for example on wet you travel 40kph while dry you go 80kph. This means is faster, safer and shorter distance to break at 40 than 80 which results in less accidents. Also at higher speeds is easier to make a mistake of oversteering

@Tony Veldez I’ve only succesfully drifted once on a dry surface. It was a 2005 CLK 2.8 V6 around a roundabout. It felt scary by the amount of speed that was needed to initiate and hold the drift. On the other hand a wet roundabout is much easier to drift with a lot less speed.

I can't give you enough praise for putting the first vid as the thumb nail 👍🏻

Going sideways is fun yes. But watching drifters go so slow into corners that they're holding up people who are just cruising around purely so they can do some messy, jerky little drift on the way out is pathetic. On the other hand the way that old Toyota (and a couple of others) is being chucked about is proper.

The blu car in the first clip is Fredrik from Norway in his Toyota Cresida, Supra NA engine in it. Drive the Moviebird camera car and has done rally, racing and drifting competitions.

In the 1950s at a dirt track called Langhorne, the Indy dirt cars would be in a 100 mph broadside for 100 miles. The track was circular and was called the big left turn. Unfortunately, due to the construction of the Indy cars at that time, no roll cage, there were many deaths at the track. It is now a shopping center.

I discovered that BMW's drivers do slides while jdm cars do real drift

People Please if your driving your daily driven car on or an expensive car that you cant afford to crash please to push it on this track. This a track that has mad an example of a lot of good drivers and racing legends. I would advise you not to push your car or get too excited on the track don't take risks cause I feel sorry for the drivers who crash their cars and lot of people drive their cars too the track and I don't know what they driver home or how my get home after they crash lol so just be save.

Good reflexes? He wasn't even watching his mirrors. Otherwise he would see the Porsche a long time before this even happened and he would not steer so soon. He didn't even know about the Porsche until it was right next to him. This doesn't mean good reflexes. This means typical blind BMW driver.
