@@Bad888Max it’s in great shape after a year. It’s not professional level, but for home use 4 or 5 times a week for 45 mins after a year, still looks almost like new.

This was super helpful, very comprehensive, and well filmed so all could see the features. I am getting a barely used one tomorrow and now am VERY excited to know it is a quality, sturdy and quiet machine. I am in a small flat so the folding feature is a big plus for me-AND I'm nabbing it for $300, so WiN. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and thoughts.

A nice looking machine! I love the fact it keeps your feet in there tight. I’ve had it where my feet have slipped on a rowing machine and it can be frustrating to adjust. Great review!

Nice review Martin! You make some good points on cross training and alternate workouts when injured! I'm glad it's working well for you... After my Proform treadmill fiasco I'm quite wary of anything associated with ICON who own NordicTrak and Proform. Best of luck and enjoy the machine! Keep pushing... Or in this case... Pulling! 😆

Thanks for this Martin - helped me make my mind up about getting a second hand one of these, and delighted with it now. Have you tried the Priority Display button? Think it might be what you're looking for, to lock the display on a couple of metrics, rather than the default Scan setting.

Nice review Martin! I am glad to see such good overview ! I would like to buy it but I saw the magnetic rowing machine Sport RL ProForm . What are pros and cons ? Could you give me a tip which rowing machine magnetic or air is better one for home user ?

Hi Tomasz, I'm not familiar with the ProForm rower, but Air rowers give a similar rowing experience as a water rower & the faster you row the more resistance you feel. Whereas a Magnetic rower you set specific levels for resistance & are usually very quiet. Saying that though I find the RX800 pretty quiet. I'm happy with the NordicTrack & would certainly recommend it :)

Hello Martin, I use the rowing machine as well from TechnoGym, which is made with good quality material but I believe looking to yours it is a bit less compact. I even use it for the upper body and I like it a lot the only issue I have is with the seat, not that comfortable. I agree it is a great investiment. Really great review full of details.👍

Thanks for a really informative review. I have just got one of these, which I had delivered to me and finished off the assembly myself. A lovely quality piece of kit, very well made I think. The only disappointment, and it is a big disappointment for me so far, is what I feel to be the lack of resistance. This may be my issue for not using it correctly, but I have set the resistance to the highest level, and despite the speed of how fast I row I really feel very little change in the level of pull needed. Resistance feels more or less the same on whatever level I set it on from 2 to 10. Maybe there is a fault on the machine I don’t know.

That looks like a top drawer machine. My wife is wanting a rowing machine, but given that it'll be gathering dust a month later I'm thinking a cheaper option will be better for us! 😁👍🏻

I'd say treat the Mrs, I've spent a fortune over the years on different pieces of equipment, nothing comes close to this bad boy for a quick all over workout. Plus think of the brownie points you'll get if you get one 👌

What a great machine for the price! Fantastic comprehensive review Martin! Bummer you can't customize the display, also they should have included the adapter. Is this able to track and upload to Strava as an activity as well? Does it have blue tooth to connect to your phone?

It is a great piece of kit Sage, you can't connect to Strava and it doesn't have Bluetooth but I actually like the fact it's simple, I didn't want a colour screen that did all sorts, sometimes basic done well is best 👍🏃‍♂️

I don’t have a rowing machine, but I do love a good row at the gym 👍🏼👍🏼

Thanks Sean, no I purposely didn't want the bells and whistles of a colour screen and memberships, I just wanted a basic rower that I could concentrate on getting fitter with, so I didn't look into the RW series.

Thanks Yoni, I personally don't find it noisy but saying that I don't have neighbour's attached to where it's situated. If noise level is a major factor for you then Magnetic rowing machines are meant to be the quietest. Sorry I couldn't help any more 👍

Excellent, I'm sure you'll love it! It should have come with a user manual & on the front is a customer service number, I phoned that & asked to purchase the appropriate adapter. They should be able to sort you out. Enjoy the rowing :)

I really like this rowing machine and I am seriously considering to buy it. My only concern is the resistance. Is it “hard” enough? I am currently using a magnetic rowing machine (kettler coach D) where the maximum resistance can be set up to 500 watts and I am getting close to that (I am at level 9 out of 10)

I think if you’re after a ‘Hard Resistance’ you’ll be better off going with a different model Miguel.

Not as far as I'm aware, I generally just row & adjust the tension to make it harder on occasion.

Hello Martin. I've read in several places that the rowing resistance of this machine is too low, and the diference between the lowest and the highest levels is barely noticeable. Can you tell me if you feel the same? Thanks

Hi Dario, it's true the resistance level doesn't change massively but just adjusting your intensity works for me 👍

could you kindly share the spesifications for the AC adapter, I think that is 9 volts 1A but I'm clueless about the negative and positive in the plug

Hi, It's been a while since I've used a Concept 2. The air resistance on the RX800 should seem easier to use than the Concept (I think?). With the air resistance the more you put into it the harder it becomes & if you want to take it easy there should be less resistance. I hope this helps & your English is a lot better than my French ;)

Un seul bémol, l'écran d'affichage qui n'affiche pas toutes les informations importantes en même temps (comme expliqué dans la vidéo), et la donnée "temps au 500m" qui n'est jamais affichée (on a la donnée nombre de watt à la place).

Depending on current health and fitness, it could be from a few minutes to start with, best to focus on technique rather than strength and speed. There’s lots of videos available on KZread on correct form. Good luck 👍

I've not used the RW900, I didn't want to big colour screen with IFit included. I just wanted the more basic model so I could just row.

Aye the Concept 2 does have more resistance, but I'm more than happy with the Nordic Track, the resistance is enough for me, it packs down smaller & is cheaper to buy 👍
