Dual oscillator synth configurations have been added to the last NS4 update. Also, all of the NSMP3 samples are now compatible with the NS4, via the new Sound Manager.

Yeah this is a different synth engine completely guys. You are either going to like it or hate it, but this whole video is focused on just that. Everything else on the Nord stage 4 is completely well thought out. From the layout to the sliders for the layers is amesome. The effects are dope snd being able to duplicate effects across six layers is amazing. The keybed now having triple sensors is welcomed. Even the sound output of D/A conversation sounds better. Added bass organ is very nice. The new sequencer will definitely be a source of creation and of course the pump effect you can use with a foot pedal is just plain cool.

Before watching the video let me just say I’ve never been a fan of the NS4 compared to the 3. New doesn’t mean better. The design on the 4 is…terrible, the UI is absolutely bad, the sound has been enhanced that’s the good thing about it but not by much, Keybed has improved, faders it’s good.The synth section is atrocious it’s not as intuitive or as quick as the NS3. I’ve got to press on a button to access the ADSR compared to a knob per function approach on the NS3. The A1 synth engine sounds so rich doesn’t mean the Wave 2 sounds bad but you will have to do some tweaking to make it sound like the A1…there will never be another board like the NS3 for real it was perfect! I regret selling my 88. If I have a chance to buy another NS3 (88) brand new….I would. It’s just that good. They should had went with an NS3 EX same design with better effects, balanced outputs for once, maybe organ drawbars on an 88 just to spice it up a bit but man…they’ve really messed it up. If it ain’t broke don’t fix just add a bit to it. I’m disappointed with the 4. Nord Stage 3 is the greatest board I’ve ever owned it’s been an honor.
