just got my first ever Nord Stage 3 - now that the price dropped as they clear out for the Nord Stage 4 but yeah man like I FOR SURE will have to watch your channel as You REALLY know your stuff so Thanks for your channel man - I play at my church and mostly do pads - strings and organ stuff as the other keyboard (Yamaha MODX ) is playing piano stuff - so cant wait to try your pads out - I run some pads ( Unify & Omnisphere ) also with the usb and Macbook and blend them in but need to get some good pads into the Nord as the Macbook once in a while can do wacky stuff and need to have those good pads in the Nord -

Electro 5 stores edits until you change to a different whole song bank. Then when you go back it's original. But if you stay in that song -set on 5D - it will retain the settings and put an asterisk next to it showing temporary changes were made.

I wish they had this on Stage 2

I play with five (5) different bands. Would SONG MODE be my best choice. Thank you, Dom

I play in two and have different sections for each band. Using extern function I can send programme changes to my other keyboard so with a twist of a knob I’m straight into the next song.

How do i create layered sounds of my choosing in song mode. Example: I want part 1 of song 1 to be a royal grand and warm pad but it’s not saving the warm pad. Any help ?

Yes any programme you save to a song is replicated exactly

How i can do live just like on korg kronos? On kronos we can make a sounds list based on the song needs, for example song A, we need 10 times changes of sound and we already decided, for example: Song A: 10 times sound changes, My sound list for this song : 1. Piano 2. Lead 3. Pad + 4 unique layer 4. Example 5. Example 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Organ ( finish ) In this conditions all already setup and writing on the favorite place, so you just need to start from 1 then what you need during live is just push next button until finish, My question, do nord has this capability? ( in any type ) or which nord has that? Thanks

wouldnt it be handy if the split position [for example c4] was saved with the song instead of with the program? then, if i have 10 songs using piano and bass with different split positions, i could use the same program for all 10 songs. does this make sense? seems overkill to create separate programs just for split changes.

Great video. Still hoping for a triple pedal review one day just to see what your opinion is. Sadly you use Ableton not Reaper, so you won’t ever encounter my Stage 3 randomiser (found as a JS effect in the Reaper stash). It’s fun for a while.

Enjoying the videos! Our church just purchased a Nord a month ago and I’ve made a lot of progress. When you set up songs (or copy programs to another empty bank), does it use memory?

At 7:56 you show how to hit (SHIFT and BANK up/down buttons). I'm using same instrument, Nord Stage 3 Compact. On mine the up/down buttons are not labeled "BANK"! They are labeled PROG LEVEL and ORGANIZE. I'm very confused about this. Did Nord change this?

So is this useful if you have 3-4 songs per set at church. Each song requires different sounds. You just set up each song into 1-4 and just change for each song?

A question for you: in Song Mode is it possible to record transpose values? often in a band a song is played in one key, but in another band the singer wants them in another key ... with song mode, can you avoid having to record two identical programs with different keys? or, if a specific arrangement involves a transposition in the middle of a song, can I insert a transpose on one of the 5 recalls without having to record a new program? … If it can't be done, the song function is pretty useless .. I create lots of programs and put them in a sequence and do it first, no?

Unfortunately no...😞 Basically all the song mode allows you to do is sequence your programs and recall them quickly.

You can just transpose and it applies to the program

suggestion: make a set of transposed programmes (from -6 up to +6) and refer to the right transposed one in the song list.
