Just use eminent domain which you have and get it done. This whole thing needs a strong vision. Ram it through. That's how all the great infrastructure got built. Don't try to kowtow to everyone. You'll just compromise yourself to the grave.

Nope. It's not cancelled. Work on it (aside from environmental review and other paperwork) is merely lowered in priority compared to any work on the Central Valley section. Basically "finish what we've been constructing before we start building more".

@@whiteclifffl I live in California and this hsr could change the way we all travel. If you don’t like it then enjoy being stuck in traffic.

After viewing all the alternatives; I personally believe that Alternative 4 is the best option for HSR. Partly because it doesn't change the landscape too much. I would like to travel on HSR, but only if the landscape remains more or less the same!

1st choice: Alternative 1 2nd choice: alternative 4
