Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis - Ansys analysis (bolted joint)

Want to work with me? - www.fiverr.com/share/Dw10A
In this quick video tutorial, we're looking for deformation in a beam-to-beam bolted joint. We can see that with nonlinear materials the deformation is very low until the 500kN.
Hope you have enjoyed.

Ola!

will be nice to get overview solid bolted joint vs shell bolted joint in result and speed. Especially when we have a lot of bolts.

Thanks very useful. How do you define what kind of simulation constraint or support you should use for different contacts?

Sir welding changes material property at welded parts .so can you make videos on the same design with using welding

Thank you for your comment. I already have one video about a welded connection using nonlinear materials. Probably, in the future, I will look into weldings again :)

HELLO, SIR. IT WAS GOOD EXPLANATION. BUT, PLEASE LET ME KNOW, HOW TO MAKE THE BOLT ON ANSYS. AND WHAT CONTACT YOU USE TO IT?

Hello Pietro. Thanks for your comment. Actually, it is! However, the results won't be as accurate as in Ansys, especially if you're leading with non linear materials

what tangent modulus did you use? Also, can you go over the meshing and bolt pretension?

Thank you for your comment. Well, the material used in this specific analysis is the standard non-linear steel available in Ansys. The tangent modulus of this material is already specified in the material properties. You can check that quickly by clicking on the "Engineering data" menu. Regarding the meshing and bolt-pretension, I'll be doing a video about that any time soon. However, do you have any doubt about the meshing and/or bolt pretension settings in this analysis?
