Just to clarify: The term "Triploidy" means 3 SETS of chromosomes, so it's 3n.. while "Trisomy" means 3 chromosomes, so it's 2n+1..

Wrong, rather than writing monoploid and triploid should have used monosomic and trisomic. Monoploid refers to euploidy (complete set of chromosomes), monosomic (loss of single chromosome) refers to aneuploidy
