Non-Surgical Hair Replacement Challenge

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Transitions Hair Loss Centers took on a challenge from Tino who wanted to see if it was possible to lose his hair and get it back in one day. Tino did this to show a friend that non-surgical hair replacment can look natural and real! We decided to take on that challenge and he was happy with the result and we still can't stop watching this video!

This is why some guys lose their confidence. Some of you guys come on here and make some shitty comment and make these guys feel terrible about themselves. Kudos to this guy for helping out his friends and taking the first step.

I have been wearing a hair system for the past 10 years and having been buying them on-line for the last 5 years this video is very cool but the system it self does'nt have a great hairline you can clearly see the knots and not sure if it's the lights but the hair it self looks a little green. I have bought systems from many different company's but just recently bought a hair system from a company in Canada called 3rd Dimension hair systems and it was the best hair system I every had even my stylist was impressed.

+Bruno Sarzano Desai Actually it's not the future. Toupees and various hair coverings have been around since ancient Rome. They reached their apex in the 40s with some brilliant television and film hair systems. Max Factor of the makeup family created wonderful ones for stars like Humphrey Bogart, Jimmy Stewart, Fred Astaire, etc. And they always wore them combed back. It's just lace front. Beyonce or Transitions didn't invent this stuff.

I have temple recession. I was also told I needed to grow my hair longer on the sides so it could blend in the system. I didn't do it cause I hate growing my hair long on the sides. This guy has short hair on the sides, how does that work? He also has no receding hair line which I do, so a hair system would probably not look right on me. Fml :/

I think once you have the system, you have to go back every couple of months to get a new system, you remove the old one shave your head again and get a new one, my step dad did it long time ago and I remember he got an alergic reaction and his scalp got a little bit of an infection and eventually he just couldn't take it anymore and he just decided to go bald. Not sure if over the years they were able to improve/eradicate that issue.

I have read many questions here and want to share my own experience which may be helpful to you all.....I have tried many things for my hair loss .. this unit thing was the first to try for my hair loss and i have observed 1. to others it looks really real no doubt about it. 2. for the person wearing a unit its difficult cos its like you used a glue to paste a cap on your head thats what i felt but one can get used to it with time. 3. you can take shower apply shampoo/ conditioner what ever you can do with your real hair you can do with this unit and you cant took it off even if you want to cos its fixed on your head and until your hairs grow beneath the unit edges, then only you can cut those hairs and can remove the unit, one day one of my colleague observed and asked ARE you wearing a wig (cos the front line of the unit was visible) so i felt uncomfortable and same day i got rid of the unit........ After that i went for surgery in 2008 Dec a hair transplant ...... I went through the procedure and initially the results were good actually very good but now i am feeling that my hairs have reduced in these 7 years including the transplanted ones, now i am planning again for the surgery but this time i will go for FUE technique....

It's basically like your own hair in that you need to go back (like you do with your barber or stylist) every 4 or 5 weeks or so for routine maintenance, haircut and styling. Maybe we should do a video on that part of the process. Let me know what you think.

  • @bodhitaichi

    @bodhitaichi

    8 жыл бұрын

+Transitions Hair Loss Centers Let's be honest please. There isn't a system in the world that lasts 4-5 weeks with a bonding. Nor should there be. Your hair grows and the bonding loosens and unless you're pretty good at maintaining it yourself, you're sucked into ambling down to Transitions for maintenance. Which I'd guess runs about 60 bucks, probably more. And why don't you tell them you cannot wash your scalp in the "4-5" weeks. Water from the shower will penetrate the system but you can't get in there to scrub or exfoliate your scalp. So now think of those dead skin cells starting to accumulate. Now think of the smell. And dead skin cells that aren't properly cleansed, certainly do smell. It's one of the biggest complaints in the industry from poor hapless souls. And they're comparing it to a "haircut." Do you spend over 50 dollars to get your haircut every month? Most people don't. I would spend around that when I got my hair cut at the Pierre in NYC, but I was also freshly shaved ( Face ) and manicured. So with a tip it was around a hundred. But It was enjoyable. And relaxing. I wasn't sitting there waiting for them to glue foreign matter to my scalp and this is exactly what they're doing to you.

ravi kiran No problem at all... I actually read a little bit on their site after posting, and it seems this system in the video is a more permanent piece. It doesn't say how they keep it in place on their site, but I am guessing they use a strong adhesive. So it is a bit different from your normal hairpiece.. My friend told me it is all about the quality of the piece and the hairline. Many pieces that are removable don't provide a great looking hairline, or at least a natural one. So it is important to make sure you find a quality piece that focus on the hairline. These types usually use an adhesive to make it look like it is your real hairline and hair. IT can be costly but is worth it. Transitions Hair Loss Centers seem to be a little tedious but many are happy with it. My friend voiced concerns about it being on your head for 2 months straight and how sweating, hair-growth, and other issues can affect the piece, that is why he went with an easily removable piece. With Transitions you must go to their personal locations every 1 1/2 to 2 months to have it taken off, cleaned, reposition, and sometimes even replaced. So it can become expensive and tedious, but everyone has different needs. I would suggest really researching each type if interested because there are obvious pros and cons for each method.

+Jose Rodríguez Jose, you watched one video with pleasing results and you've "GOT TO TRY IT?" Why not do some research? Don't trust these people from a damn KZread video. Search the web. Look for people in your city. Research is key. And do NOT, EVER sign a contract.

Does anybody knows how strongly it stays in ur head if some Boby tries to pull it, thinking real hair

  • 8 жыл бұрын

+Bishnu Bastola .. It stays on your head fairly strongly. The piece will survive some tugging and pulling, but if someone is actually trying to rip it off your head it will obviously come off, and probably a piece of your scalp as well. Hopefully you do not associate with people who would do such a thing, cuz if someone did that to me they would have some large medical bills to follow.

+Bishnu Bastola If someone gave that wig a good tug, it's coming off. But that's not the companies fault. I mean, what do you expect. You have 4 ounces of hair glued to your head. You can't expect it not too. And that's another thing. You'll always be thinking the worst. And you better watch out that you don't lip off to the wrong person. I was in an outdoor bar in the Dominican and this obnoxious guy started some beef with another guy and the next thing you know they're rolling on the ground like two morons and a second later the obnoxious guys hair is dangerously close to falling in the swimming pool.

+melvis salvador oh no, it could certainly last a week. Easily. It depends on many things. Your body makeup, how much you perspire, if you're just a greazy dude, etc. A week is doable. But not the 4-5 they're claiming.

The real problem is in keeping it maintained, yes it looks good the first few days, but once your real hair on the sides starts growing longer then your hair system, you have to get it maintained and cut by the same people who installed it, and that is very costly because you don't only have to cut your hair but you have to have your hair system reinstalled again, and that glue that they use can damage your remaining hair.So if you ever plain on getting a hair transplant you will have less hair to work with.plus another thing that they don't tell you is that after a short time the hair on your system starts to fall and you have to buy another hair system...after 20 years of dealing with this the only thing that help me was rogain and at last Nerograft..

+michael jagger Well, you probably won't find many reasons to be out in a hurricane, but if it's freshly attached with a good polymer ( Glue ) it probably won't blow off in high winds. These systems can be resilient. But if it's loosening even the slightest bit, then no. I wouldn't risk a hurricane rated wind.
