Just want to point out a few things for others watching this. The line harness 5.0 was developed for activities like hiking and tracking, it can also be used for canicross, bikejoring and skijoring (where the dog is supposed to pull) it can also be used for everyday things but thats not what it was made for. And the general rule of thumb is to get a few fingers in under for a good fit (you got your whole hand in there so there is that, it is not supposed to be a lose fit for sports harnesses like this.) and i think the front of the rock harness can be used for super mild anti-pull control but as its just fabric i would not use it for big dogs (there is also an attachment point under for a long line) Not to sound rude but next time you buy things read up on them first so you know what you are buying, nonstop makes very specific gear for dogs in sports and not really for every day use even though you can use them for that as well.

I quickly gave up on pre-made harnesses with Wolf. Being a Malusky he is a difficult fit as he's the size of a husky but neck, head of a malamute. I ended up getting one custom made. About $70 US, AUD120. So when I got Tikaani I went the same rout.

We have been looking to upgrade their harness for a long time and most brands don’t do their size 😡😡😡 … I was very hopeful with this one since most dogs on their IG are huskies, Malamutes and German Shepherds. I did like the Rock one (the one Venus is wearing) but Apollo’s is trash, the sad part I wait it too long to try them out and the return period pass 🙈😭 so now I’m stuck with a $60 something US dollars harness that more than likely will never use.

@@TheMalamutePack I was thinking about that. When I get stuff I can't use I donate it to the local shelter. Otherwise I know I will just put it in the cupboard and it will sit there for over 10 years. I also like the one Venus has. Mine are also adjustable, from Alpine Outfitters. They get you to measure all the dimensions and make them to fit. Expensive but they last and are strong.

@@2DogsVlogs I make a box every year with all the stuff the dogs didn’t like or fit and at the end of the year or when the box is full I take it to the local no kill shelter. I will keep the orange harness for a while in case of emergency (if the old one brake or we leave it at my in-laws house wish this one happens often)

That orange one seems to fit fine be. Your could put four fingers easily between it. If it is more losse it won't sit correctly

Totally correct! Sizing is a major issue and why I no longer order anything from non-stop.

Where do you get yours??? Apollo’s head is huge I haven’t found one that is 100% perfect. Right now he is using the Jeep off road one

@The Malamute Pack That sounds difficult, and Apollo's head looks huge! I should take my comment back. I received the two harnesses from Non-Stop and they actually fit perfectly on my dogs, contrary to what I thought! There is a company that can make custom size gear, also pulling harnesses and half harnesses. They are located in Europe. A friend of mine has nine dogs and all her gear is from them. I've looked at it and it's quite good quality. The company's name is ZERO DC. I hope that helps you and Apollo 🙂

The one Apollo try on was not comfy at all he hated to put it on, we still use the one we try on Venus that one is comfy fir her and dry super fast. We donate the one of Apollo to our neighbor husky, Not all harness are pulling harness tho, normally the pulling ones have more support on the back, they are excellent to do skijoring or sledding. I know Non Stop Dogwear also have pulling harness but we didn’t try those

@@TheMalamutePack Y front harnesses are made for pulling. It varies on the degree of pulling. This is not an anti-pull harness when clipped on the back. Your complaint wasn’t that your dog hated putting it on. Your complaint was they pull harder in it. That’s a sign of comfort. It’s comfortable to pull in, no pressure is anywhere it’s not suppose to be. So he was comfortable utilizing it for what it was meant for. Your other dog was uncomfortable, likely due to a poorer fit. So pulling caused discomfort.

24 inches which I think is 61 centimeters

Did you actually measure your dogs before buying these? They look so easy to put on, wonder how you got that mixed up

We did measure them. I can get them in, but its so tight get stock around the ears and Apollo get anxious to put it on and off. We give the orange one to our front neighboor that have a husky. We still use the one that was very breathable on Venus.

@@TheMalamutePack in also think if I go for rock or the grip harness. The grip looks much studier. I feel like the mesh on the rock will get damaged quickly. Looks kinda delicate

@@RomboutVersluijs I personally like the Rock better, is more breathable, dry fast after adventures in the water and have so much adjustment that I can find the perfect fit for the neck. The grip don’t have any adjustment in the neck and that was the main problem with Apollo.

@@TheMalamutePack sorry for all the questions. So that mesh on straps, the outer fabric with small holes, is that sturdy? It looks so fragile in the photos. I don't mean the orange inner part. I live ve in the Caribbean, Curaçao, so it tends to be hot heren around 30-32 degrees Celsius.

@@RomboutVersluijs We use it everyday for like 8-10 months in all type of conditions and its holding up really well, no holes or damage so far. The mesh doesn’t feel cheap at all. I’m not sure what 32°c is but here in Florida is super hot right now is 90°F and tons of humidity so the mesh on is nice and breathable.
