This was Shelbyville, a good drive from Chicago but I’ve heard of some good musky fisheries up there such as fox lake

Yea they were pretty skinny around this time, not exactly sure when they get super fat but the last few times I went they’ve gotten a little thicker. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed!

The net I use is big enough for the fish to be sitting completely upright and to be stretched out longer than the length of the fish itself. The net is also rubber coated, I believe the blood was from stress.

Rubber nets are notorious for splitting the tails on fish, especially when you lift the fish out of the net with it.
