Non-Stop Action (Husband v. Wife Catfish Challenge)

We spent a day on Keystone Lake in Oklahoma catching TONS of catfish. Because we both have a competitive side, we decided to make it a husband/wife competition. This was in late April after a little rain, and we were fishing shallow water in the Cimarron River arm of the lake.

I fished kaw lake on the 1st and caught a 24 pound blue. Spent a lot of time looking at side imaging and all the big ones were in 10 to 15ft of water, she was packed full of eggs!! FYI I did release her around the same area I caught her in. Personally, I do not like keeping big fish because it took them years to get big and I'd rather let them go so they have a chance to get even bigger!

That is such a great attitude. We don't keep any fish over 10lbs. The other thing that doesn't get talked about much is the genetics aspect. Fish are just like any other animal. Big fish produce big fish. Thanks for watching and I really appreciate the comments. Tight Lines
