Hamilton: Treasure or state? Ford: Sir, do you want me to build this thing, or not? In all seriousness tho, HOLEY MOLEY this parody is amazing!!!!

Literally I cannot stress enough how Hamilton and so many of its songs fit Stan and Ford’s dynamic when you frame Hamilton as Ford and Stan as Burr. Hamilton (in the musical) is an arrogant, selfish, brilliant asshole charming his way through the world while never satisfied with what he has, it fits Ford to a T. And Burr as Stan is brilliant too, even if the musical has Burr as the villain, he’s a man who’s worked for what he has and is willing to continue working to get his goals no matter what the cost, who has to watch as his hard work amounts to nothing while another man has everything handed to him on a platter. It may not fit in minute details, but certainly in theming and broad strokes, it’s eerily reminiscent. Ultimately, Wait For It, without the part about Theodosia, IS Stan’s theme to me, Stan bitter and resentful of everything he’s given up to see it amount to nothing while his brother begins to take away the only people he has left who love him. Sorry for so many comments it’s late and I have Thoughts I want to share. Please keep up your work, you have a talent for evocative imagery even with your style being minimalist.

Yup. Pride goeth before the fall. Plus there’s the icarus connection. Both are respectively referred to as an icarus, flying too close to the sun, by someone close to them. Hamilton in Burn and Ford in Journal 3.
