There's a reason the impact driver doesn't work well on longer fixings. The impactor works by it's revolving hammer slip clutch, for want of a better way to describe it quickly. . The rotary flex in longer fixings is enough to absorb the impacts from the driver, hence it not being able to push it home. . The constant torque from a drill can load the rotational pressure on and keep it there. . And yes, the drill he's using there has a motor about 4x the size, in addition to it being higher geared😄

For timber framing and framing requiring large structural screws, we always used an electric impact. Cordless drills heat up too much after a few screws. Why wear out an expensive cordless, when a cheap electric impact will drive thousands of them unharmed. Makes sense to me.

I have that exact set of Makita cordless tool. They cost less than $150 for the tools, with batteries and a charger. For any home gamers they will do 95% of whatever they need to do and using them for mechanic work I never had a issue when doing most anything I felt was appropriate for them. Now if I need something with some serious torque, I’ll pull out a hi-torque impact or rotary hammer too. However, I would never compare those little cordless tools to any of my big power stuff. You must work with manufacturers or something cuz this looks like what a shill would do trying to sell their latest and greatest. I’ll just assume you’re just practicing for that.

Needs a shorter bit. A short bit on the impact and it would've gone in. My 20 volt dewalt will break a 3/8 lag bolt in certain wood

Try using a charged battery instead of one that is clearly nearly completely flat. My Makita impact never struggles. The screw would snap before the impact gave up. Why do people make these nonsense videos?

The drill chuck for the hammer drill is cool. But you could have come up with a better way to show it off than comparing it to a couple cordless drills with weak batteries.
