Yeah, Rayquaza views really the entire Earth as its territory and attacks anything not native to it. And I’m not sure if they explain it, but with electrical fields interfering with Deoxys’ vision, living beings also give off electrical fields, the large crowds were hampering its sight and needed to move them.

@@KingsBard Now that you mention it, Minior, Terapogos, Eternatus are all examples of alien Pokemon but Rayquaza does nothing about them. If Rayquaza guards the Earth, then what about Terapogos that alters an entire ecosystem, or Eternatus that is a direct threat?

@@silverthehero1295 Maybe just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Rayquaza can't be everywhere at once, and there's probably only a handful of them flying around up there. It's very possible that certain threats just go under its radar, whereas Deoxys very much flew right past it in this film. Heck, for all we know, for every Minior that actually makes it to Earth, a dozen of them wind up being swallowed by a passing Rayquaza. In fact, given that Rayquaza's food supply was always kind of vague, it could probably be retconned into young Minior that are still forming being one of its primary sources of sustenance; either intentionally, or they just happen to be amongst the particles that Rayquaza is trying to eat.

Same! I vividly remember the day the movie came out and begging my parents to help me find a copy for sale at a Blockbuster, I watched that movie so many times. Rayquaza is my favorite legendary and this movie was a huge part of what endeared Munchlax to me (enough that in the first iteration of the English Pokémon Center website, I convinced my parents to get me a Munchlax plush that still sits on my bed today ☺️)

I remember as a kid, I was scared of Deoxys for how menacing it is towards the city and how odd it looks, but it became one of my favorite Pokemon ever. Still love this movie as well!! One of my top faves. It's also interesting how the Deoxys and Rayquaza thing popped up again in PMD Red and Blue and then ORAS. It makes sense that they're connected.

It's still amazing how they turned DNA into a Pokemon

As a warning, Yes, each movie will get wilder and wilder and honestly, the gen 4 movies is when the stakes can't simply go any higher just of how absurd the gen 4 legendaries are power wise. what occurs in the Deoxys movie are rookie numbers compared to that.

Following Gen 4 though, Gen 5 probably has the weakest stakes. Not that the movies aren't wild, and enjoyable. They just collectively feel the most like they're very isolated incidents where the consequences of failure wouldn't have been especially catastrophic outside of their own isolation.

In the future, when you're looking up info on Pokemon like Rayquaza, Bulbapedia is the best place for Pokemon info IMO. Just check the biography section. Also, Rayquaza is basically the Pokemon in charge of keeping Groudon and Kyogre in the timeout corner to stop them fighting with each other.

You know what I really liked about this movie was the part where ash and his friends had some other friends as a part of their team and it really felt like a great squad right there when they’re having some challenging times, survival times and even the fun times

Rayquaza one of the 🐐s & this is by far one of the 5 best pokemon movies ever. Rayquazas is arguably one of the 3 strongest pokemon ever & his job is to protect the earth from threats so it lives in the Ozone layer and stops anything harmful such as meteors and toxic substances. In the movie it presumed Deoxys a threat because deoxys is not from earth and tried to protect us, at the end when it realized Deoxys is an ally it helps out. That hyperbeam out of the water is a core pokemon memory for me

The story if deoxys, deoxys according to one of the pokédex descriptions is a space virus that mutated and turned into a pokémon, the source of the mutation is not clear because some descriptions say laser radiation, others say space radiation and another say it was the heat of when the meteorite it was in enter the planet's atmosphere. What is clear is that this pokémon is somewhat aggressive towards other creatures because doesn't know what it is what it's looking at. The exposion to some meteorites in games from fourth gen and ahead make it change into its other forms, there are a total of four, the normal form, the attack form, the defense form and the speed form.

I think Lucario and the Mystery of Mew is the next movie, but I am so excited for you to see the Rise of Darkrai. Oh don't forget the Mirage Master too, I think it's just a special, but it's paired in the same box with Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.

To a lot of people, Charizard is considered overrated. Mainly because he’s gotten a lot of love over the years in regards to having two mega forms, a Gigantimax form, etc. Be that as it may, Charizard is my favorite Pokémon, and I’m proud of it too.

This is literally the 2nd Pokémon film where Team Rocket never acknowledges nor interacted with Ash and the gang after _Pokemon Heroes_ and personally this was my least favorite appearance of them because literally all they did was just finding food for the majority of the movie and that’s it, that’s all they ever did.

You know what would be cool, if once they finished the movie they look at the Pokédex entry of what each legendary does

Misty show Max the ear thing it was in gen 3 special, togepi evolve into togetic and left misty.......the next movies are kucario and the mystery of mew, the rise of darkrai (highly anticipated than deoxys), zoroark masters of illusions (anticipated because of the statement in the 3RD Pokemon movie), the movie afterwards we will need ppl to guide them on how to watch it since it's a black/white version (reshiram and zekrom) just mesh the scenes together where the 2 legends appear.

There were some normal animals here and there in the first two seasons before it properly established it's lore and they were phased out pretty quick. You see fish at Misty's gym and there's references to worms, cows, so on.

Now then, time to long for the Sinnoh movies, to be more exact, Giratina and the Sky Warrior. (well aware that there is some movies left from the Hoenn period, I'm just not too fond of them), but Destiny Deoxys is def one of my top 3, in the nr 1 spot, the one I watched the most!!

This is one of my favorite pokemon movies! ❤️❤️ I like that the conflict was mainly from the three dueling legendary pokemon while lots of character development took place with Tory mainly. Trivia: Pokedex Entries and supplementary material state multiple times that Deoxys is a virus born from a meteorite that mutated into a living creature, explaining its adaptive nature.

Got this one on DVD as a kid. Some happy memories, love this movie. You should totally watch a Jessie, James and Meowth compilation. They are hilarious.

As for the regis, they were elemental golems brought to life by an ancient people across the planet as guardians, then sealed away. Regigigas was either created by them as well or arceus, and back in the day it towed the continents around - basically, it's the reason pangea was broken up in the pokemon world.

charizard is a bitch even in gen 1, these days he's basically nothing. if they didn't keep shoving him in stuff and stopped acknowledging him after a certain point, people generally wouldn't care about him as much

The next movie is a good one, but the next few after that one are all together and are some of my favorite Pokemon movies.

When the movie came out there were 386 pokemon there are now 1018 pokemon and that's not even counting mega evolutions regional variant gigantamax's and more

Deoxys is classified as a mythical. Legendarys can be caught in game nornally. Mythical need a special distribution in order to get them. Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, and Deoxys are all classified as Mythical.

I got Mew and Jirachi in BDSP for having played the previous games, and Celebi from VC Crystal after beating the Elite Four and collecting every Mon I could, and Deoxys from ORAS without any special items. Magearna can be obtained in USUM after you beat the Elite Four via QR Code or through HOME if you have every Pokemon up to Gen 7. All of Gen 4 Mythicals can be obtained in Legends Arceus, which include Darkrai, Manaphy, Shaymin, and Arcues The rest however are unobtainable as of this moment due to needing those items or special events.

@@shelbiewilliams4027 it's amazing song don't get me wrong. It just reminded me a lot of a certain scene in the movie (which I won't be discussing in detail to avoid spoiling people).

Time to get futuristic and a little bit extra terrestrial with Destiny Deoxys. Strangely I don't remember much from this film; I remember May's ID card, THE CUUUUUBES! and that the side kid was scared of Pokémon, that and it didn't really have a main villain, the main thing I remember from this is the opening battle, because it's an awesome cold open featuring my favourite Legendary Pokémon: Rayquaza, mascot of Pokémon Emerald, the way it bursts out the water to wipe out Deoxys was perfection. Charizard is like Pikachu, by sheer visual popularity alone it is made out to be super strong. Starter Pokémon do have better stats than most non-legendaries but it's a small margin, hard to really convince kids that the flaming fire dragon (who's not a dragon) isn't cool. Wailord is huge yes but by comparison it weighs like 800 pounds. Also the 'man in the hat' is Brock's Lombre, the Jolly Pokémon, based off of a kappa. Rayquaza is mad because it's a protector of the ozone layer, so Deoxys in its whole meteor comes charging in, so it got territorial. The battle traumatizing Tory would later be used in the anime in the form of Lillie, it's a nice little arc for her too. Max does do a lot of ear pulling in this movie, a trait he took after meeting Misty, who also tended to drag Brock away from women in such a fashion, but with less of a height difference so probably less violently. We probably could've gotten more from Rebecca, she seemed the only one actually investigating the stuff with Deoxys before it became a big problem, plus she had a Metagross which is just +100 cool points and shows her to be a very skilled trainer because they take a long time to evolve Technically the travelators are in the games, they're a gym puzzle. As for the double battle (a feature added in Gen III games) Ash could've picked better he does have a Swellow who has advantage over Blaziken, he gave Tory a defensive tank with no offensive advantages. It's likely that the milk in this world comes from Miltank since Moomoo Milk is sold as an item in the games, then again Ash did one time wear a cow costume, fish and lobsters have been seen as well, and a Gastly turned into a mongoose one time. The games have mentioned real life animals too. Fun Fact: Blaziken was initially designed as half of a concept for Latias, like the top half and wings was Latias and the arms and bottom half was Blaziken. That is the gist of Deoxys, that and it changes forms by touching the meteorite (in the movie it changes fluidly between its four forms). The long story is that it was a mutated space virus and the crystal is its brain. In the Ruby and Sapphire remakes you can capture a Deoxys by taming and riding Rayquaza into space and battling it. I don't know about that, next movie is a personal favourite of mine and it has some big scale, we get some mystical shit going

Metagross was a Pokemon you could obtain in Pokemon Colosseum for the Gamecube, and through that game it became my favorite Pokemon. It was really good.

Pretty sure they milk Miltank. They have an item in game and in the anime called Moo Moo Milk ... and it comes from Milktank

The DNA of a space virus underwent a sudden mutation upon exposure to a laser beam and resulted in Deoxys. crystalline organ on this Pokémon’s chest appears to be its brain. (Omega red pocadex) also Rayquaza is hundreds of millions of years old also you guys should really check out some of the darker Pokedex entries, thay get prity fucked up lol

In game Deoxys is a pretty ridiculous Pokémon. Its stat distribution changes heavily based on the form its in. For example in attack mode it outperforms even Mewtwo in raw power but has almost no defense. In general it tends to be geared towards glass cannon tactics except in defense mode.

I agree. Battling Deoxys in the post game of ORAS was wild, at high level, with powerful moves, energy restoration, and a high catch rate, making it one of the most difficult Pokémon to capture.

In the manga, Giovanni captures Deoxys with a Master Ball to use him to find his kidnapped son, Red and Mewtwo confronts him and Deoxys stabs Mewtwo through him with his tentacles.

It's her foult she put the planet in danger just to prove herself worthy of reqweza's trust . And after he cut her he even give her a chance to apologise but instead she request the same thing then he blast her with hyper beam . Didn't really kill her tho he let her live

i think this was the only movie i had as a kid, so id watch it on repeat so many times lol. the paradise song was always my favorite scene

This is a very interesting Movie, though i wonder why the Speed Form wasn’t shown in this Movie? Anyway, the Next Movie will be quite interesting too, it will be about a Pokémon from the Next Gen.

If only Munchlax actually evolved that way. I'm sorry, I love Roserade, Snorlax, Lucario, Pikachu, Eevee, Azumarill, and a few others I'm missing, but unless you have a Soothe Bell or are content with running back and forth for minutes on end, friendship evolutions are annoying.

Early on sure, but once you get the berries friendships stupid easy. Unlike the complete stupidness that is Galarian Yamask's evolution, or the random way to evolve Inkay in the DS games. Friendship evos are simply time consuming rather than truly annoying.

This was the first pokemon movie I saw, as a kid I rented that movie from the video rental place at my local gerbes. Probably rented it over 10 times, to this day Rayquaza is one of my favorite pokemon.

Misty taught Max how to control Brock's behavior. Before the episode where they meet her, I forget what they did. 0.o 27:11 I always love how the movie zooms out at first before you can get a clear look of The purprle energy diamond that deoxys launches into the sky to make that aurora. It would give away what that green diamond is, I guess.

If you guys ever end up watching the anime I would recommend watching diamond and pearl if you don’t wanna watch the entire anime

I'm so SO excited for the next films!!!! It was my favorite time of these productions...the Lucario movie is incredible and consolidated the Pokémon as one of the most loved in general, the Darkrai film, together with the Arceus film, deepens and builds the creation of the Pokémon universe so much and is so cool and important... and the Giratina film is simply the best and my favorite, he's simply the best legendary with the best territory ever and only my opinion count!! 😌😁😆

Okay, reading these comments about this movie for me is kinda crazy, and also at the beginning of the video hearing that this was so anticipated. I never knew this movie was so popular/loved, I guess. Out of the Pokemon movies I had seen before (which isn't very many after this one), I think I have the most memory of this one probably because I rewatched it the most as a kid/teen. I would probably say it's my favorite as well if I had to rank them based off of what I can remember from so long ago. 32:48 and the scene I replayed the most 🥰
