The government's default response to finding a crashed pigeon is to secure the area, lock it up and being a nuisance to the folk living nearby. This isn't because the government is masterminding some conspiracy to hide aliens, it's because there's a non-zero chance any crashed UFO is actually a military craft carrying who-knows-what. Hey Pat. The details in the answers are based on classified information which would result in jail time if released. This information can however be presented in a secure room (SCIF) where phones and devices are not allowed. Grusch requested and was denied a SCIF by the Pentagon. We are having one on the 12th with the Inspector General.

A lot of the information requires top secret clearance. However the IG felt that Grusch’s report regarding UAPs was quote “credible and urgent”. Perhaps he will have a chance to explain why here. The information in the SCIF won’t be available to the general public. It’s why it’s done in a secure facility.
