OMG I love this!!! Thank you! Thank you!!! I've discovered the same thing and felt so alone and confused after following this particular teacher into a blank slate nihilistic depression! Just did a video on being stuck in Non-duality for 7 years myself! So grateful to find you!

Traditional "non-duality" is much more cult like, according to your own definition, than radical non duality (Tony parsons or Jim Newman, I know you're criticizing one or the other). They actually dont say you have a problem, they say there is no problem, ever, they don't give solutions, they don't suggest there's a happiness to be found or even a need for "eternal happiness" (only traditional non duality teaches you how to get happiness for ever), they don't suggest there's even a person, so how could they try to give the person something? You can actually attend Jim Newman's meetings without paying so he definitely doesn't ask you for your money, Jim and Tony don't expect anything out of you (while cult leaders have many expectations and again, traditional non dualism gives you practices that you ought to do harder and harder to find enlightenment so it's more akin to cult mentality than radical non dualism). Oh, and you talk about specialness and say Tony and Jim somehow say you're special for knowing "Thaaa seeecret" but they say exactly the opposite, and you'd know that if you actually listened to their talks and didn't put words into their mouths. Radical non duality is by many aspects the opposite of cult (especially compared to religion and spirituality)

No You Don’t know who is being referred to here. Perhaps she did listen to them and heard exactly what you did and the problem is with some “Other” ... Assumption is the mother of all F**K up’s!

I have followed J Krishnamurti's teachings for quite some time. A lot of what is mentioned here matches with the teachings - going beyond the observer i.e duality, creating a transformation in mind, etc. Are those teachings also what you are referring to?

These people can know something but still be in their heads somehow. Newman and Parsons come to mind with their off putting smugness.

Duality is actually non-duality as well. They're not two things. But yes I agree what you say. Particularly this non-thinking or presentmomentism is very weird to me. Thoughts have the same exact isness or non-duality in them just like everything else. No need to stop thinking. (But yes, when you see thoughts as the isness of what is, they tend to stop or atleast the non-aligned ones) But I wouldn't communicate of what is in terms of thinking or not thinking. Just creates disturbance which is completely unnecessary. To be present is at best to notice that youre already. If you're thinking of the past it happens now, if you think about the future it happens now. Bad communication by Eckhart Tolle in my opinion.
