What is up you guys! Here is the video many of you have been waiting for! In this video, I breakdown all my expenses and show what I made in my first 3.5 weeks on the road as a leased on non-cdl hotshot driver. Keep in mind this is just my first month and I took out some expenses that I chose to reserve but not necessarily a must.

People loves to come online, watch videos, and nitpick the hell out of it not realizing that you didn’t have to share a damn thing. The fact that you did share your experiences is a blessing we should look at what you shared and take everything that we can from that video to try to help our situation. Stop spending so much time trying to nitpick and hate on people this is why your ass is watching videos opposed to making money. This brother shared some serious information that I didn’t know and it’s really served me well he is helping many people make informed decisions based on his good experience and his bad experiences. In the military we called it lesson learned so that you don’t continue to make the same mistakes.

Looks like your doing good, one thing I recommend, you might want to invest in small cooler to carry some lunch meat, fruit, stuff like that, another thing you may want to consider is to schedule short hauls when you have to deadhead to your next pickup, to make up the difference, instead of just deadheading if possible you might want to hire your wife to find your loads and set them up and dispatch you, once you get your own authority, if that's your goal, this could put more money in your pocket, because the 30 percent is a little steep, you got your rig and trailer, your doing about 100% of the work, this way you could cut the rate of the company your leased to, but you will be responsible for your own insurance and fuel, you can apply for your own fuel card, your own maintenance, something to think about, you can still be dispatched from your current employer but as an owner operator, your DOT number and still stay busy

I've been considering getting into the hotshot trucking. I'm curious as to your thoughts on buying vs leasing a truck. According to another youtuber, Tow Piglet, he suggests leasing through Enterprise. He says that with leasing, you can basically get a new truck every 60,000 miles and you don't have to worry so much about repairs. Just wondering your thoughts on the subject.
