Good tip in the pump. I've never seen that before. Thanks. I had a 2 coin silver spill about 8 inches apart that sounded a bit like the large iron. I imagine I could have narrowed that out by switching directions. I was swinging in line with the coins.

you can hear the difference between the two ive had it for a week and already digging coins its all about the tone the iron grunts at the end of the beep where as good metal is solid sounding

Great tip bobbing the coil I’ve been struggling a little and digging everything! (More used to a deus)Just bought the kid a midi hoard and it’s more accurate on iron than the simplex! My god simplex goes deep though! I’ve just found a Bronze Age axe head half an inch into the clay!! I’ve hammered that field with a deus and Garrett 250 with a nel tornado on and both missed it 👍🏻

Awesome Chris, this video may have just saved my Simplex 🤣 I've had a nightmare dig today, digging good signals which turned out to be deep iron on a very dry field. Digging them holes was a nightmare. Cheers 👍🏻

I’m getting one of these next week hopefully but I have a cheap £50 thing with no name on it at the moment but yeah similar kinda noise. You get that crumpled low tone with a high tone. Good advice though 👌

To be honest I think this works for coins, buttons and small stuff. I used this advice and started to dig alot less interesting stuff as a result and dug a fraction of what I used to although I agree it does cut out the digging of big iron which is a pain. Great advice for coin hunters I feel but alot could be missed using the information in this video. I was talking to a guy last week who found a gold Guinea who nearly didn't dig it as it was a scratchy signal jumping to and from 4 to 12

P Mac On the hunt hi thanks for the comment. This tip is only for those loud to clean sounds. It doesn’t effect the subtle tones that coins give. The gold Guinea that you mentioned would of either been on the edge of detection or on its edge. Plus a signal with a 4-12 (jumpy) isn’t that much of a jump and would be a digger all day. Hope that clears it up 👍

great video thanks for sharing. have you any tips for identifying coke please. as my fields are full of it. and the VDIs bounce around between 18-80s but so doe's coins at depth. and they both sound good targets. I've heard some people say coke is scratchy, not mine its sweet as. thank you

I've had a Nox for over a year and could never work out what iron was as it consistently gives a 14-16 tone in multi, however on a simplex I've rarely dug iron, and if it was it's been a big rusty nut.

with the big iron you can hear the machine shutting it out--whereas with the coin it comes in and leaves more naturally--more gradually,

Crypto Kurt threshold is for all metal. You want to set it so there is a constant hum. To loud you won’t be able tell them deep targets.
