Nokta Makro Simplex GOLD TEST | Metal Detecting SP24 9.5" X 5" DD Search Coil
We try to keep it pretty simple here. We test GOLD on the Nokta Makro Simplex+ version 2.78 with SP 24 Coil to see what a few golden targets read on the VDI. We see how the numbers change depending on depth of target... "air tests" may give a general idea but once an object has been buried things start to change depending on target depth and multiple other factors...
Gold depending on many factors such as size, shape and karat has a WIDE range of VDI numbers, you can never truly be sure of an underground object until you dig it out of the ground.
If you are always passing those low numbers while using the Simplex I hope this video may help you reconsider. Ask yourself, would you dig a 22 on the simplex? Would you dig a target that was jumping from 30s-50s? I encourage you to dig out the lower signals, you will pull trash but it will eventually reward you. Trash can be a good find, we can clean up nature.

Try this again [with no bad joke] - I like the way you brought up the sensitivity to full bars showing the VDI # changes I haven't seen anyone else do that - So it was indeed informative video.

I wonder if the numbers would be different with the stock coil.
Great video man, I have yet to find a gold or silver ring. Found one that "might" be tungsten, but not sure. Anyway, awesome test.

I am looking forward to you testing out your detector in the snow (; I would love to figure out how to go live while I am out detecting however I know I've got a long way to go.
Oh crap, 23 is usually a pull tab for me, sometimes I’m done with those and I just ignore those signals. Better stop doing that 🤪😝!!

I did not hear about that, I will have to keep an eye out on it sounds like a detector I can get behind, I wonder what pricing would be..comparable to equinox? Simplex has treated me good so far I know I just need to get onto some better locations to pull some real goodies.
The prob with your tests? ANY detector will hit that stuff-buried so shallow.

The vanquish series performs really well, I would say the simplex is built better but I am also really excited to see more about the Legend!
