I am Hmong in exile from 1975 I was very young at the time, I know not much about my homeland but one thing is sure, every time I listen to this song, my heart ached like hell. Even though today I made the US my country, I still wonder whether my homeland is where I need to be or the US!!!’

Although the war brought tears to many, we live on with songs like this and miss our country. I was not born in Laos but why do I feel like like I want to go back? I hate and miss the 1960’s and 1970’s. So many memories.
