I 'met' NOFX about an hour after this set. Outside the backstage catering tent was an old home organ which I was playing, combining the beat, bass, chord sections. It sounded great. All of a sudden Fat Mike was next to me. He started to improvise some lyrics, including some lyrics about me! Something along the lines of: "He knows how to play the keyboard / But he's got a stupid face.." Such an honour. Hefe and I jammed a number too and that was that.

The thing about a NOFX live show is not to expect polished perfection it’s never going to happen, mistakes, wrong notes, forgotten lyrics are part of it. I’ve seen them probably 15 times over the last 25 years and some of my favourite shows have been the absolute train wrecks, it’s raw it’s real it’s punk rock. I for one am glad they are still going.

This was hilarious. They were in germany. They played The Brews (tldr here), Eat the Meek, Murder the Government, Franco Unamerican, Idiots are Taking Over, 72 Hookers, Perfect Government and ended with Kill All the White Man. Basically told the crowd to fuck themselves. Before the last song they were like yeah you guys are tense fuck you. Great fucking show.

@callmecatalyst green room is an amazing film, ive seen it a couple times, i like all of jeremy saulniers films....but that film is more about the white power/nazi punk scene, not the normal punk rock scene of california or new york! (though i am aware that the punk scene in la in the 80s was extremely violent and probably had some nazi skinhead elements in it).....

I love the tip of the hat to Spinal Taps Stonehenge via their micro NOFX stage sign. These guys never get old.

NOFX could play UK every year and it would sell. I hate waiting every 4 yrs to watch them! They are still punk! It doesn’t matter if Fat Mike can’t sing like he could, he never really could anyway! It was never about that. Punk is pretty much dead but bands like NOFX and Rancid are still keeping it real and doing it their own way. UK needs more support

A person from UK calling NOFX punk...oh fucking wow. Just type UK82 in the fucking search bar and learn what punk came from and is. You'll be a lot more proud and you won't have to like shitty indie bands that claim to be punk while playing primarily to frat boys and trust fund kids

There's a full show on youtube when they came here to Brazil. As I remenber, there wasn't any jokes. I believe that happened because few people would understand. That's a shame!

I was in Vegas - at PRB - when nofx made their comments. The next night I looked out my hotel room window at the arena where the knights were playing the capitals in the nhl playoffs. There were thousands of people outside that arena and I said if someone wanted to attack the people outside that arena with an assault rifle they could easily. What is worse NOFXs joke or the fact that 8 months later their was no precautions to prevent a similar attack?

I've been saying basically the same thing. I'm sure every band got talked to by security about the potential danger. Think they went total punk rock and made it into a joke. Probably everybody at PRB had that danger in the back of their minds but that won't stop them from having fun
