Tbf when would be a good time to announce it? Now is probably the best time. We’re top of the table and the support the team will get knowing it’s Klopp’s last chance will be huge. It also gives us a chance to come to terms with it. Imagine dropping that news at the end of the season, it would be a nightmare.

The best time to announce it is when the season is done and dusted. As it is now, Liverpool are well poised to win 4 trophies. Having a distraction like this is the last thing the club and players need.

A number of people in the media have questioned the timing. I think it can only have a positive effect on the players who will run even more yards for their boss and continue the trajectory until the dynasty ends. If he announced it in the summer, it would leave the club little time finding a new manager and getting a good pre-season.

People who think this hurts the team for this season just don't understand this manager and these players. As for the timing, it's either (a) because they got wind that someone had found out so they got ahead of the story or (b) the club are ready to talk to agents and clubs about replacing Klopp and they know that as soon as they start asking those questions there's just no way to keep it quiet.

City need someone to run them close because it makes winning the league more of an achievement than it possibly is for them. No one rates the German League or the French League because of the dominance of PSG and Bayern.

Liverpool have lost the league title man city twice and in both those seasons man city had the refs that they still have and will continue to have the refs

I really think klopp has had some bad news personally either with his own health , or something in his personal life , because he just looks like he is tired , hopefully not health related and been advised to rest by his doctor, hopefully not but how it just came out the blue and he just doesn't seem his self at all but , I'm a wolves fan , but will be missed by the Premier league, all the best klopp !!!

Timing may force his hand? I think he is on the right trajectory, and liverpool may steal the march on real Madrid or bayern. It's a v good time for any manager to come in a relatively new squad that in the Sumner you can start to add to. Style wise, he suits. If not Emry at Villa for me. It's all just a season too soon. 2026 was looking like an interesting year manager wise klopp leaving early has really thrown things into the air a little.

It's a shame the 115 charges at city weren't resolved before Klopp left, nothing against Pep, amazing manager and city may abide by FFP now, but it looks like they abused it for many years, seriously abused it, and during some of those years Klopp lost out more than once by the tiniest of margins, which is a shame as some lazy pundits and fans will now say Klopp didn't win enough trophies, whereas real fans will admit he was basically robbed and deserved more, it was the energy required to go head to head with an organisation with so much wealth and power, while working for a club being run on the meagre side to be fair, burnt him out, the energy required to achieve what he achieved must have been immense, the man was a Spartan warrior amongst managers.
