I still don't understand why someone would use it over C# and asp.net, for example. Do you see any advantages other than not knowing C#?

@@madd5 node js is best for I/O and real time communication. It has non blocking I/O.

@@tahmidlabib2919 node js is mainly used as a microservice. Because of the points I stated before. Due to its non blocking I/O is can be scaled by many instance. It can handle many request and can also handle many database request. And also consumes less cpu power. But it only can't do cpu intensive tasks. It is not good at that

That initial explanation was so useful. Most courses skip the fundamentals and dive right in, but sometimes it's important to get a deeper understanding on how the technology works behind the scenes.

Is this course updated enough to learn things in 2023 , I wanted to start learning from him but I worried that the course is 2 years old so many things might be outdated, can I ask about your suggestion on my situation?

WOW. I just can't believe back to back videos. Nodejs updated version will also help many people. You are great!
Not only is this guy's knowledge outstandingly good, but his teaching skill is even better! The flow in which he explains the concepts is so easy to understand. Feels like he could make quantum physics look like a piece of cake. Probably the best course I've seen so far, and trust me I have been through a few. Keep it up!

3:37 -- Your explanation of how Javascript can use Node to directly talk to computer via C++ and machine code is simply amazing. By the far the simplest and easily understood method of explanation I have come across. Well done, sir!

This is by far the best beginners introduction I have seen for node js

I studied the course during the Christmas period: it's just perfect! I learned the basics and I'm starting to port some websites would go to the end of life in other environment. This Shaun course is the clearest, well organized and logical I have found ... even for a lazy Italian like me and with poor English! Thanks Shaun! I have subscribed to the channel community!
