Perhaps an unfair comparison as they used NOCO's old design. Their newer X design has improvements such as A & C USB in and out ports. NORCO's jumper plug is not as bulky as they moved that circuitry into the battery case itself.

Doesn't look like this was a fair comparison. The Noco GB40 is a 1000amp jump starter. The Hulkman 85 is a 2000amp jump starter. The Noco GBX 55 or 75 would have been a better comparison.

True. But the Hulkman is priced cheaper than the 55 or 75 (old model or X) If you can find them. Two of the three Hulkman links above no longer work.

I have a Hulkman 8.5, if my truck don't start the first time (during the summer), I have to plug the Hulkman back in and let it charge - just one jump goes from 100% down to 50% , then the Hulkman throws an error code 3 until it's charged back up - I've only used the damd thing 3 times since new, looking for something better.

What review? All they did is read stats & features from the jump starter owner manuals. They didn't test them on actual vehicles with dead batteries to see how they actually perform in the real world. Go check out the battery jump starter tests on the Project Farm channel if you actually want real world usable info on which one works best at different temps, different engines etc...

My noco GB70 power button stop working. it cost to much money to only offer a 1 year warranty.. 👎🏾

useless comparison unless you tell us how much they compare on cost. If Hulkman is 2 x then it's not fair.

Noco jumper starters do not last. Waste of money.

No doubt this is a Hulkman-hosted or sponsored video. Every review where Hulkman sent the reviewer a free jumpstarter to review shows the Hulkman compared to Noco’s more basic model in order for the Hulkman to win. They won’t show the NOCO X series or at least a NOCO model with 2000A. Why? Because the NOCO would win on all points except for obvious LCD readout. Also all NOCO jump starters are over-specced under the hood. What they advertise is far below how they perform, especially with X series. Biased video.

Noco Is TRASH! Used it once, kept it charged in the car for about 1 year. When i took it out to inspect its charge and tried to charge it, once connected it gave me the red blinking light of death! That meant the battery failed to accept charge. It suddenly became paperweight trash! Hulkman was a Kickstarter and built & engineered from the ground up with amazing powerful features! It's rugged, tough & soo manly! It just works. 2 years with it, used it plenty of time and it works just like when new. The battery will hold over 90% without used for about a year without charging. That's what you call "reliable"! I recommend Hulkman in a heartbeat!

Thank you for letting us know they actually put decent Lithium Ion batteries in the Hulkman (good batteries are not cheap and cost more). The fact it can hold its charge for months later to use in an emergency is the key component!
