Great video. But 2 questions....First, when I need to charge the unit, should it be turned ON or OFF. Second, I could barely make out what you were saying about the alternator. Did you say the alternator was not working or it was working? Thanks.

When you go to charge the unit it should be turned off. In the video the alternator was functioning properly - you can just the digital voltage meter on the jump starter to read the voltage output of the alternator once the vehicle is running.
why no wall charger ?
Really would like to see it jump diesels in 32 and below temps.

jumped my 7.3 diesel in 15 degrees
Will it work if you connect the negative to a metal car body part instead of the negative battery terminal?

We have not tried that here but I would not recommend it.
Will this trickle charge a battery?

"Military grade plastic..." This made me laugh pretty hard, thanks! For what it is worth, the military doesn't build anything with plastic. Everything is made out of metal casing with that awful OD Green color. Also, 'Military Grade Construction' isn't a good thing, it just means it was was made by the cheapest bidder that barely meets the required specifications (not exactly a solid endorsement). Great review though! Thanks!

Typically the military contracts out production, and they use thousands of things made out of plastic.
