Nobody Wants the NEW 2024 Toyota Tacoma... OVER 115 Available Here!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

People aren't racing to Toyota dealerships to buy a $50,000+ 4 cylinder pickup truck that was built in Mexico!? Blasphemy. I can't wrap my mind around that... haha.
After my last video highlighting the poor Tacoma sales, I received comments from a few people saying I was crazy and that the new 2024 Toyota Tacoma is selling extremely well everywhere. Well, today I'll venture into America's Toyota 4Runner and Tacoma epicenter... (Colorado) to prove you otherwise. By my count, we have well over 115 brand new Tacomas of various trims available for sale within a 45 minute drive of my house. Fascinating. Not only are new Tacomas building up on dealership lots collecting dust, they're already being nicely discounted by dealers to try and move them. Inventory is quickly stacking up and Toyota is seeing the writing on the wall. They need to move these expensive 4 bangers some way or another, so slashing the prices and offering incentivized interest rates is the answer. Well, at least they hope! So here you go, California... Florida... come snag these. =]
Let me know your thoughts. Do you think this new 2024 Toyota Tacoma will gain in popularity over time (as it becomes the one and only option for us)? Do you think it shares the same fate as the wildly overpriced Tundra? Rotting on lots across the US. Let me know if you think I'm being too harsh...
I really appreciate you all taking the time to tune into my videos, thank you. If you found any value in this, please consider Liking and Subscribing. Your support means a lot!

It's what the dealers are ordering though. These things have crazy options. I bought a 4x4 TRD Off Road two weeks ago with the upgraded screens for $44,500. You theoretically could by a base 4x4 TRD Off Road for around $42,500. And the dealership closest to my house can get you SRs for around $34,000 right now. Still a little higher than the competition, but not when you factor in the traditionally higher resale values and toyota reliability.

Come out with a solid product with pricing that is reflected by the massive savings you’re getting by moving production to Mexico. Until then, I repeat, fuck this stupid idea of a truck. For 48k you can get a 2 wheel drive Tacoma with manual cloth seats, baby screen, weak no tread tires, no features, made in Mexico, or you can get a Colorado ZR2 with all the features as standard, big screens, leather heated and cooled power seats, sliding rear window, Quality MT tires, premium off road suspension, lift, better styling, more features, produced right here in Missouri. Someone please tell me how Toyota is going to sell a midsize truck for 20 grand more than their competition, the same year they moved production of said truck fully to Mexico.. how is Chevy manufacturing trucks in the U.S. and selling them for 30% less msrp than Toyota who’s manufacturing in Mexico for pennies on the dollar? I’m about to sour on Toyota completely, they are lucky that someone somewhere is still doing an okay job with the Land Cruiser, and after this debacle my expectations for that have dropped significantly. I was excited about this generation of Tacoma and instantly regretted it once they started arriving. This generation is bogus, the Tacoma is bogus, and Toyota are kind of rat bastards for the shit they’re pulling if I’m being honest, idk about you guys but I don’t like giving my hard earned money to rat bastard companies.

Scrrw Toyota, the entire reason people tolerated outdated interiors and horrible fuel economy was the second to none longevity. The ability to buy a car and know it’s actually an assist that will last you 10+ years. Toyota offered the working class people a way to get head of finances with iconic longevity. They have completely changed their approach. The Toyota simps will spam comment sections saying “Toyota has made turbos for decades”. While completely ignoring the debacle that is the new tundra. They also completely ignore the obvious cost cutting on the gen 4 tacoma. flimsy and razor thin skid plate, more plastic than Barbie under the hood, the spare tire is from walmart, and you have to pay substantially more for the drop off in quality. I dont want to hear about the epa, every oem is dealing either them…and yet… Nissan has a v6 in their brand new truck. Mazda, Subaru ? The value you get from both is way better than a Toyota. The only thing toyota has is their hybrid systems for fuel economy, cvt, and truck availability. And even then the fuel savings assumes optimal driving conditions to achieve that efficiency. But Id argue the newer Mazda/Subaru competitors are just as good now. If you don't want a CVT and want a pseudo-luxurious ride go Mazda. If you want the best AWD system, decent ride quality, and a cheap to maintain car go Subaru People just need to do basic research.

You said the Tundra has come down in discounts 8-10K. When they come down that much again, they will be priced fairly. Until then, no one should buy one. I don't know how they are going to sell the higher trims in the 60k's. I'm in the market for a midsized truck myself and wanted a Tacoma but for the same price (Mid to high 40's) I can get a fully loaded Canyon AT4 or Colorado ZR2. I think these Tacoma's are over priced by 10-15% and that's going to push business to both the Canyon/Colorado and Ranger.

Where I used to live one of the dealers kept only a few cars on his lot. “Oh the demand is high on these, we can barely keep them on the lot.” 🤷🏻‍♂️ BUT a few miles away they had more sitting on a lot. When one was sold on the dealer lot, they brought in another one from the other lot. If you wanted a specific vehicle, they checked “other lots” and just checked their backup lot. Once the internet, and online shopping became more common it was harder for them to do this. 😂

When are we going to learn that all of these trucks are SR5’s… there are no distinguishing differences between the trims, there’s no standard equipment, what they’ve done is made everything SR5 so you have to buy several multi thousand dollar packages to get basic features that should come as standard, and there’s overlap on everything so you’re paying double and triple for basic features. It’s part of the scam they’re running. How do I know it’s a scam, because early MSRP’s had these same trucks at 55-56k, how does the sticker change?

I paid $35k for my TRD off-road Tacoma (access cab) in 2016. If you put that into an inflation calculator, it equals about $45k in today’s dollars. It did not have blind spot monitoring, lane departure assist, or adaptive cruise control. So considering the additional technology, and inflation, they're not that far off from what they used to be. my two cents

Mr. Untamed , I’ve been watching your videos for quite some time now and I respect what you bring to the table. Back in 2021 I bought a 2021 Tundra trd sport 4x4 for 49k. Same truck now is around 65k. In 2023 I bought a 2023 Tundra Trd off road and let me tell you, I miss it i wish I never would have sold it. The current Tundra is a good truck but you can tell fit and finish just isn’t there anymore. Toyota has definitely come down in quality but in return have hiked up their prices. I’ve been a loyal customer owning several models through out the years and they have been great vehicles. Time will tell how long these turbos will last in the current Toyota models. Keep doing what you’re doing you have my support always! By the way I love your current Trd Pro Tundra.

The show hasn't started yet, when they drop these prices the people that paid marrket adjustments and other shenanigans will not be able to trade. You are correct about Florida. Beautiful family great video. I also, contrary to you and many of the viewers think that the prices, interest rate, and general economy are more contributing to poor sales than the v6, turbos etc. Just my 2 cents.

I am not looking for anything with a turbo, torque, AFM, DFM equipped, or insane horsepower. All I wanted was a dependable reliable truck, and I hope I got that with the Frontier. I traded down from a 2015 GMC Sierra Crew Cab Z71 with the 5.3 litre engine. I had 74,400 miles on the truck when the lifter collapsed and push rod bent. I was lucky. I got away with getting mine fixed for $3100. That was better than most. Thanks for the information video! Have a great day!
