The scene where Taka was crying was very touching. I remember this concert was the first time his father came to see OOR.
Taka wrote this song for his parents because he ran away from home in his teenage years, Taka's story is actually really sad at first, there is a lot of pain behind the words of this song, I'm glad he's at a better place now.
A lil' brief story about this song. Being born into the moriuchi's family means he's also gifted with incredible voice like the both of his parents. Like parents like son, he's also passionate about singing. But his parents wants him to stay away from those path cuz they said that the music industry is really bad and so much negativity. They forced taka to transfer to a prestigious school so that he can get a better education. However being young and so passionate for his dream. He takes every risk and then decided to run away from home to stay with his grandma. His action cost the family's institute to collapse. His parents then decided to divorce after so much argument and disagreement. Taka after that hits doesn't have anywhere to go and his future also looking grim. He then decided to just take a part time job at a local restaurant. Sometimes he even sleeps on the restaurant's couch. One fateful day, toru came to the premise just to stalk taka. He does that every single day while only ordering drink and then sits there while watching taka for hours. Taka then decided to ask him wassup and then toru invited him to be the vocalist for his band. Taka wrote this song sincerely to apologize to his parents. Realizing his mistake to be the one who caused his family to collapse. Nobody's home was released in 2010 as part of Niche Syndrome. He became so much emotional in this performance becuz knowing his parents for the first time in forever, came to watch his performance. That's why this video is a sincere apologies to his parents....

@@GonzaWrld Please try you to listen "Notes 'n' Words" This is said that Taka sent his mom. It's so beautiful.☺️
i love this performance because you can really hear the passion and love he has for his fans who sing with and even FOR him whenever he gets choked up and cries. I dont know how he does it but it genuinely feels like he puts all his heart into his singing and Toru, Tomoya and Ryota put their all into their playing to support him too when he needs them
I found an interview about "Nobody's Home," so I'm writing this Google-translated version. I hope you'll take a look when you have time. And one of the few things I'm proud of is that I saw this live performance in person. I really wanted to ask you something. During "Nobody's Home" played in the latter half of the show, there was a scene where Taka held his eyes and suddenly could not sing, and Toru smiled at him. What was the situation? Taka:Well, it was a scene where the lyrics just flew out of my head (laughs). (laughs) - hahaha, I see. Taka:That song was written for my family, so it had a different feeling in me than when I sang it at the Budokan. ...... I felt like the song was written for a specific person, but at that moment it really became a song for everyone. "Oh, everyone is singing this song in general!" And then the lyrics just jumped out at me, and that's the scene (laughs). -(Laughs.) So you held your eyes as the lyrics flew out of your head? Taka:Yes, that's right. -You didn't, did you? Taka: (laughs). Taka: (laughs) I felt that so many people were singing our songs. And to think that they are singing songs that I wrote not for my fans, but for my family, it makes me feel deeply moved. -I was deeply moved by the fact that so many audiences sang the songs that Taka had entrusted to them with his personal feelings. How did that make you feel? Taka:The things that had been driving us up until now were feelings of frustration, not wanting to lose, and not wanting to be made fun of. It may seem negative at first glance, but in fact, it was the source of power for the band. But after the Budokan concert, I felt that these feelings gradually became something different. Since so many people have accepted us ......, it is not a level where we can perform only with feelings of anger, but rather gratitude, and I think it is a rare thing that the initial negativity turns into gratitude. I think it's a very rare thing to have that initial negative feeling turn into gratitude. Of course, we don't want to stop the band's current momentum and flow, and we have to think about how we can nurture this as a power that will take us to the next level. The Yokohama Arena was a situation that made us reaffirm our commitment.
I recommend you to listen to Home by My First Story too! I believe Hiro wrote it in response to this song. His side of the story about their family.
i came back here just to tell that Taka sang this song with his brother in a collab concert way back november 11 2023
Yes! I’ve been waiting for this reaction from you.
I think the patron gave you the OG link because it had eng subs and included taka's intro words into the song. It's hard to choose my favorite performance of Nobody's Home. They each are special in their own way. Besides the two you've seen, Budokan was the first time he performed the song and Nagisaen had the rest of the members tearing up as well and in the jinsei x kimi documentary, there's footage of taka struggling to get through the song similar to here because he fighting to hold back tears. The other song specific to taka's personal life would be mad world (only the Japanese version though). It's one of my personal favorites off. luxury disease.
Aw, Taka, that voice..
One of my favorite songs of ONE OK ROCK 🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️❤️
Please react to my favorite emotional rock track of all time. *ONE OK ROCK - Smiling Down, Liar LIVE Saitama Super Arena*
