On the note of keeping an eye on teammates, I really wish we could see teammate health even when they are too far away to actually see them. We know where they are on minimal but too far to see the ship making it next to impossible to know how badly you’re needed or not sometimes.

As a battleship main and solo player, I feel your pain… I don’t always use destroyers but when I do, I make sure the red team experiences a real bad time

I will admit to being a destroyer player who will occasionally skirt the edge of the map to get behind enemy lines. I've also started paying more attention to see if torps are in the water before shooting. I passed up a kill last night for this very reason. I could've nuked the ship but he was about to get hit with 4 torps.

I would argue Kamikaze is even more broken than Shima as Kami doesn't' have to deal with as many sonar/radar cruisers. I played a game in Gangunt a while back that had a Kami in it and the dude just ran the whole board. He wasn't even good or anything, pretty mediocre, but the ship just can't be spotted and there isn't much torp protection at tier 3 and 4 so it was pretty much every two-three torps was a devstike. I think the dude got like 6 kills. Even his own team was pissed for stealing all the exp.

i always get left on my own by other players even after our group heads towards a cap and at the last minute nope they peel off and i am on my own lol

That’s me in Friesland! Whenever I have a bad game I just hop in that and hunt down destroyers and planes, always puts a smile back on my face lol

Would also be nice if on the comms wheel we dropped the good games and things in favor of “perma fire” or “just damaconned” sort of thing.

I've played WOWSL long enough to know within 2 minutes of the game that I'm on a losing team just by the way they are playing. 1) Battleships that never support the team but always ask for support when they are in trouble. The 2 types of bad battleship players I always see. One that only goes straight full steam ahead and never heard of reverse. The other that only goes straight full steam reverse and never heard of forward. 2) Cruisers never capturing bases or shoot at spotted enemy destroyers. Instead they run away behind an island at the edge of the map and sit there for the entire game waiting for an enemy ship to head their way. I call them campers just like in COD. 3) Destroyers never capturing bases or spotting. Instead they would waste half the game going around the edge of the map to sneak behind the enemy team hoping to find a sleeping battleship or carrier to torp. 4) Your team always giving broadside no matter what ship or what situation they are in. I've been in games where my team or the enemy team gets melted in a blink of an eye because the just don't learn.

The potatoes going broadside thing is getting so bad that I think WG nerfed citadel chances on everything and limits you to one most of the time. The single most frustrating thing about the game is the developers stark refusal (until recently, slightly) to teach people how to play the game and get better and instead relying on messing with RNG to force good players to play worse.

It has been needed for a while now, but WG will NEVER nerf Shimakaze. Probably for the same reasons that you mentioned. I only play LT occasionally, but you made some valid points. Thanks for posting.

Not down on the game but I did upset 2 battleships that had won their side (must be Spartan subs) then I swung around the corner after capturing Mid in my Icarus and sent out 2 waves of individual fired skill bricks getting a Double for the W, it was a thing of beauty

This game annoyes me every thime when I play with it, my Rng is so bad, as a battleship captain the game “balance” me every time

Does the game ever screw me over so much that I just jump into easy mode and make life miserable for others? Yes. When I do it's usually a carrier but sometimes a destroyer.

What would u say is actually the most balanced ship in the game

So I unfortunately am not a good player. I am fully solo and only have a 57-58% win rate. When this game decides to rain doom and hell fire on me I usually just GTFO for a few hours cause even if I play my good ships I usually wind up on a team that is 2/3rds destroyed by the 10 minute mark and I am definitely not good enough to fight off 6-7 ships by myself. I actually uploaded a rage video, which I never thought I'd ever do, cause I surprised myself at the salt levels pouring out of me lol

If you're over 50% at around 1000 standard battles you are already probably a better player than 80% of what's out there. Your ranked is also probably a better indicated of your relative skill, esp 1v1 as the fewer the players the greater your influence on the outcome of the match.

Defo think the game is the worst balance of team players as also the ships. Some or like 2players will be good at support and understand team player .but the rest run away and don't help which is most games or rush in either ram the first ship to get a kill .rather than realise there in a team and try win is the object not to get a kill before anyone else. an you have other types of players where you get no help from any team player or by the time 1player trys to come help you its to late or dont move away from 7ships chasing 1 ship out the map or scared to go round island to force ship out or while there all at the other end of map while other team against you trying to sink you. Or there sitting in the circle and dint move or players join but dont move or shoot from the start something fishy i think going on with that idea . clearly players dont look at map as said 1 or 2 player do but the rest dont Then there's the ship line up on each team. Basic ships against legend ships or bought ships an some games theres 2 in one game then the other team has way more then you have 3 of the same types of ships and 2 and then 3 same ships so then you have 3 groups of ships in same team which 1 is bad enough for distance and health and then stealth . So very unbalanced that way .then you also seem to get teamed up with players that don't have a clue what todo or play. This can be on any team no matter what ships a team has. Is frastated how team and ships are put against.. then you get the messages through from players who got sunk and no team player and dont realise that some ships cant shoot as fast as they can 20-30 second for battleship but as you said you get players who can shoot other ships but then decide to shoot the ship you were shooting and just as you fire they then torpedo it or shoot it at same time you re shoot again after waiting to shoot .where the other ship where trying to shoot other ships but see a ship low on health turn round and shoot the one you were . Then they get sunk then message you saying ur trash and saying why i didn't shoot the ship before they got sunk.but tryed to sink the ship before me and lost .some well most i see dont understand what there role is also the torp boats chase in open waters and most dont go in the capture area or they leave just before capture or recapture which makes you lose the game most dont understand about going forward for spotting. Any typos my phone changes the words sometimes so .and thanks for reading my comments .

Once you realise that wgs games work off of pos/neg RNG,mm ect and realise that games are weighted in one direction then " strange coincidences" are no longer strange but are expected. It makes games fun for what they are. Legends is the only WG game that I'm unable to to see where abouts I am in the algorithm which makes this game a lot of fun for me personally. Maybe with more experience on legends this will change but hopefully not. Wall of skill 🤣😂😂 👍👍👍

HOWEVER...you can be the greatest DD player ever but if you have a team full of potatoes it will end up being a 1 v 6 7 8 etc..ergo you cannot overcome a bad team..I wish there was a statistic for how many games you are the last man standing against at least 4 other ships!!

These are the most broken ships in the entire game and im tired of people saying they are balanced ships. Someone with one brain cell can play these ships and have fun ruining the game for everyone. Wargaming needs to either get rid of them or nerf them ALOT. 😤

I am the republique hahaha I saved myself from a tremendous death and I almost did a devastating attack on the musashi with three citadels but I managed to kill him.

I agree. Some games I work my ars off in a destroyer capturing bases and spotting enemy destroyers only to see nobody shooting at them because my entire team is hiding at the back of the map. Like always the enemy team eventually capture the bases and my team implodes.

lol, that team must of have especially bad if even the dds couldn't save it. In my experience around 80-90% of the time the outcome of the match depends almost completely on what the destroyers do. I think destroyers, in general, are op/too important in Legends, have too much influence on games outcomes. The fact that battleships have zero counterplay to defend themselves from destroyers is pretty broken. Even cruisers have SOME options when a battleship rounds an island.

I know that for battleships facing shimakaze Is a lot of troubles , but in reality shima Is not even that good 😂, khaba and gearing are way better because more versitale ,in fact shima should get some help in the defense department, that being said , i also belive they should give battleships more tools to fight destroyers.

You mean ANY tool to defend themselves from destroyers. Almost no battleships have ANY means of counterplay to destroyers. The only option is realy to run away and hope the dd player screws up numerous times over a long period of time.

@@177SCmaro i know It doesnt help a lot but most battleship have catapult fighter wich help you spotting torps and nearby destroyers so thats allready a tool(spotter plane can aswell but last only 30 seconds). They also gave battleships the secondary consumable wich wasnt a thing.

@@micha-elhorus5799 Neither planes nor secondaries do much, if anything, against destroyers and their torpedoes so they don't count as much, if any, of a tool against dds (nearly all battleship secondaries in this game are very underanged and underpowered in the game for "balance" I guess) which isn't what they are even intended for. Again, for a battleship to beat a destroyer the destroyer must make many mistakes over a long period of time, at least two or three battleship salvoes are necessary to kill a destroyer even at close range. I literally just experienced this last night in Pyotr Velikiy as two destroyers chased me across the map. The only reason I beat them is, our of pure necessity, I've gotten somewhat decent at avoiding torps zigzagging about, neither of them knew what they were doing and got themselves spotted every time I was reloaded, and I had a little help from a cruiser at long range (who didn't seem interested in chasing destroyers). In order for battleships to have some means of defending themselves from destroyers and torpedoes would require all battleships have the option for sonar/radar (maybe in the spotting plan slot), even if short range and/or duration. If timed correctly, this would at least give battleships a chance. Another option would be to reduce the damage of destroyer torpedoes across the board but I prefer sonar/radar as that approach requires more skill on the bb player's part to time it correctly.

That enemy shima played you completly he is definitely a dd main until the end of that fight dude played well got spotted. Slowed down to smoke up because most silly dds won’t see that and fire if they wanna gunfight you’re Spartan. You wanna gunfight everyone knows it. He could have eaten your ship alive and you couldn’t do anything and has. The ability to drive behind cover if torps came you didn’t fire so he got spotted waited till you fired to disengage. So you’d take a yammy hit. Then saile da back to allies and repeated the process that’s why concealment doesn’t matter for A good d dd player you played well to the only mistake you made was stacking torps gearing or agile khaba is the better dds shima is worthless in my opinion

@@SpartanElite43 you should play gunboats man especially when you have those bad nights I used to main bbs but solo play it was starting to frustate me so now I play agile cruisers or mainly American stealth radar like my Indianapolis has 9.3 my balti is 9.5 I think Des Moines 9.9 concealment I beleive Shelly beeply is my commander inspiration of mikowa and Jersey oh yea concealment mods. Remember the other day when we battled and your dds were 2 down in a min. Yea they spotted me then my team actually responded to my radar by the time I hit that corner I radar again area denyability our dd wasn’t spotting you I was our dd was behind the rock there’s fun builds man bbs aren’t fun anymore
