Nobody Is Allowed Inside! ~ Phenomenal Abandoned Manor Left Forever

Ойын-сауық

Exploring abandoned places is my hobby and finance it all out of my own pocket and the donations I get from the people who love watching the documentaries we make... A small donation would be greatly appreciated! ► / brosofdecay
Let us immerse ourselves in the intriguing story of Mister Marcel, he was a businessman, a father of three, and a loving husband! His life began in the bustling city center of Zurich, where he grew up and later took over the family business. The family business was a plaster shop for many generations. Marcel completely transformed it and turned it into a specialized plaster manufacturing company, and became prosperous in the process. But Marcel had a bigger dream. At the age of 50, he was ready to fulfill it. He sold his business and moved away from the bustling city center of Zurich to the peaceful French countryside. His dream was to convert a French manor into his dream estate. He found the property he was looking for, and he transformed it into a masterpiece using all the skills and knowledge he had accumulated over the years. Their children slowly moved out to the big cities seeking opportunities, while Marcel and his wife remained inside the manor until the final years of their lives. His beloved wife passed first, and he lived on the estate alone until in 2013 his dream was left behind forever. Unfortunately, his children are unable to reach an agreement on how to divide the massive property and its contents. They have been in a lawsuit for years and are thus not allowed to enter the Manor.
Allow us to take you inside the walls of this unique property and show you what has been left inside.

And for those who do inherit these beautiful places and they do nothing but let them rot really breaks my heart. I would give anything to just be able to restore and help those who do not have a place to live. Here in the United States, we have a problem with homelessness and some places it’s worse than others. So just to think how awesome it would be for everyone to have a roof over their head and not worry. I just can’t understand why the government doesn’t step in to help fix some of these places and help the homeless!! Beautiful place!!! At 19:56, you called it a cabinet (in the dining room/living room) we call it a buffet. Reason is because the food could be set on there in lieu of the table. It would leave mire room on the table like if you had a couple extra guests.

I know what you mean about not wanting to feel confined by others as you look around. Even the best of friends can unintentionally rush you or influence what you film. You can concentrate on what interests you alone and take your time. That said, oh do be so careful!! I'm so afraid of you falling through some floor and no one knowing you are in need of help. I know you know and take the utmost precautions, but I had to say it LOL. Thanks for another great explore and for our kiss at the end

You were not alone Leslie. I was right there with you. At least it felt that way. What a fabulous house! I love thé blue entrance door! I loved all the arched frames around doorways. I loved the velvet fabric beds matching velvet covered chairs. Must have been so grand and amazing in its prime. One of the best parts of your tours is you! Your enthusiasm and delight at every fascinating new discovery! It’s so contagious! You have perfect English, but with a lilting accent that is very easy on the ears. I love listening to the words you chose in English. Where a native speaker, (American) might say.. “the floor was heaved up” or “buckled up” you say it is “deformed”. The use is totally correct, just not often used in this context, but totally beautiful and explanatory. I would also have loved to have coffee on that balcony overlooking the gardens. So grand. So very grand! Thanks for taking me along..

Do you ever get curious after visiting a place to research and see if a rescue has happened or may be in the process? We are all simply stewards of whatever properties we may “own,” and your adding to the unique and personal narratives of these dwellings is a very positive contribution to OUR world. Thanks so much! And let us know when a family member steps up and keeps your Grandfather Jamal’s place in the family!

Well done! I especially liked the beautiful second floor woman's bedroom. (34:10) How touching that whoever made the bed, and carefully arranged the pillows for the last time, also laid a rose on the endtable - perhaps in her memory. Judging from the beautiful wallpaper, she obviously loved roses.

I was very angry at the selfishness of the 3 children that couldn't come to an agreement so their parents labor of love fell to ruins. Their father put so much love into building a beautiful home for his family. They could have sold it and split it 3 ways. Or better yet they could have finished it to become a bed and breakfast before letting it fall to ruins and now have nothing. Death brings out the selfishness of family members. I've seen it happen firsthand.

Wow, so so sad! That house would have made a perfect B&B To serve meals made with fresh vegetables out of the garden and put chickens back on the property. The pond, oh the pond all cleaned up and stocked for customer fishing! What a crying shame... I love to hear your stories!
