@@kydon1236 That's not what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to make you realize that there is more than one correct way to praise God. Your tone implies that I can't worship unless I sing certain songs. Do you think that I sing modern praises for my self esteem? No, I don't. I sing them in praise to God and if I do that, then does it really matter what I'm singing?

@@edgey_rouges7498 lyrics can be as Godly as youd like, but when you mix the world in IE Christian rap/rock/ect. It doesnt make it Godly or worship. God is God and doesnt have a grey area. You do what you like, I will do as I like. If you do not like what I said which was a compliment to the singers then you move along.

I agree with you. There's no beat of drums in heavenly music. Because according to the bible Heavenly music it doesn't mix with worldly music. No gray area. We respect that some people prefers the beats. But if you look closely, you will be blessed if you read the lyrics praising God. But if you hear the beat of drums first before singing.. your head does the movement. When in terms of praising God, God should go first before the music. That is why solemn genres are prefered than rock music. Not to say that people who create those kind of genres are bad. No, they are talented beautiful people. But if we are focusing on God himself. Worldly beats and worldly music shouldn't mix with the Music we are Offering to the Lord himself. That's why world and heaven is completely separated. People shouldn't confuse the two. I remembered in this bible study that Lucifer used to be the Chief of music. So a lot of music genres that are modern can be used against people's beliefs. I do enjoy rock myself. And some pop musics. But I am fully aware that there is always gonna be a barrier between worldly things and "Appropriate music" we can't just barge the Holy ground giving praises to what "we" think will glorify God. P.S. I am not bashing people who worship God with the worldly music since it is from their hearts. But then again, God doesn't think like how we think that may Praise him. This is just a Bible based oppinion. Just a friendly girl that gave an info. ^_^
