I have watched all noble minds videos available on youtube and never once got dissapointed by the breadth and depth of their knowledge, as well their humble attitude. I still could not believe that I am watching this free of charge and able to rewatch this again whenever i want. Thank you Noble Prize channel for your service!

I almost cried when Prof. Benjamin List talked about his experience in the 2004 tsunami, it reminded me of the film the impossible... I can't imagine the horror and sadness on that day but eventually they managed to survive and gave them a life long lesson that no accolades will ever match the time and presence of your loved ones.

When people care about what you do, there's a shrug at the end of all your hard work. You stress when you don't receive praise.

Why wasn't Maria Ressa included here? She is one of the distinguished Nobel Peace Prize laureates, and, although she is a highly respected journalist, she originally studied molecular biology at Princeton. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Saying that immigration benefits the market and science is quite naïve, as it treats all immigrants as a homogenous group. Cultural differences can be massive - if one studies the demography of immigrant scientists they will probably find that some immigrant groups are overwhelmingly represented in science, while others tend to choose other types of employment. This distinction is important, especially for states.
