I don't think the romantic type of love is special. And I am started to think that the romantic type of love isn't real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other. I think humans should just ditch concepts like dating, marriage, and pair bonding. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it. It does seem that nearly all fathers are hoping that their daughters never date or get married and remain single for the rest of their lives. Romantic relationships seem like a bad thing since there is a lot of dangers when it comes to them. The overprotective father thing is proof that romantic relationships are a bad thing, and this world would be a much better place without them. If someday that the human race ditches the concept of romance and romantic relationships, and got rid of stuff like dating and marriage, fathers would be happy about it since they wouldn't ever have to worry about their daughters ever dating if that ever happened.

Wow! This has to be the most strangest reaction to something so pure, and full of love. I hate to burst your bubble about a romantic love not being real. My husband and I have been together almost 30 yrs and this year will be 28yrs of marriage. And then the young lady in this video has parents that have stayed together for over 25 yrs. This blows my mind, and kinda makes me believe somewhere along the way in your life you were hurt, and l/or had a terrible experience with being around real, romantic love. My husband & I still hold hands, kiss everyday and tell each other we love each other daily, multiple times. We do ourselves have 4 grown kids, 2 boys and 2girls. We had 1 daughter get married last year and 1 son (that’s in this video) and I can say for my husband and I we have prayed that they would find someone that will love them, and respect them, and grow with commutation with them, because being in love is an action word and it’s not easy everyday, however worth it. We were happy they got married and are excited about grand baby’s in the future. I pray you find love one day, a love that helps you to believe in romantic love. However truth be known in order to give and receive romantic love, you must love yourself. And be open minded about love. Love is such a vital thing for human beings and the need for the human connection.

@@TheGrantKids But it seems that fathers usually hate it whenever their daughter gets a boyfriend (even if the boyfriend is a good guy), and it seems that they often hate the idea of their daughter dating, and many fathers seem against the idea of their daughters dating. There are even shirts made for daughters that say "I'M NOT ALLOWED TO EVER DATE" and shirts made for fathers that say "Dads against daughters dating". There's also a lot of other shirts and merchandise made for fathers that say stuff like "Rules for dating my daughter: #1. You can't!" or "Before you date my daughter, know this: I'm a dad with a shotgun, a shovel, and a backyard." Most fathers don't want their daughters to have anything to do with boys outside of being friends. Many fathers won't allow their daughters to date when they are in high school or still living with them.

@@TheGrantKids Brothers also tend to act the same way that fathers do whenever their sister gets a boyfriend (even if the boyfriend is a good guy). It seems brothers (like fathers) hate the idea of their sisters dating. So it seems that most fathers don't ever want their daughters to find love and be in a romantic relationship with someone, and it also seems that most brothers don't ever want their sisters to find love and be in a romantic relationship with someone. So those could also be other reasons why the concept of romantic relationships isn't a good thing because of how protective fathers and brothers tend to be whenever their daughter or sister dates someone since they are afraid that the boyfriend will be a pervert that will make their daughter or sister uncomfortable (also break her heart or abuse her).
