Noah's Mill Bourbon - Best of Willett Distillery?

Welcome back to another Episode of Bourbon of the Week. This week we have Noah's Mill out of Willett Distillery. Like every week we rank our bourbons on 3 scales, Price, Taste, Drinkability. Using a scale of 10 we see where this Noah's Mill Bourbon falls on the ranking sheet!
Every week we try to not only rank and see how good each bourbon whiskey is, but we also like to learn something new. In this week's Bourbon Bomb Of The Week we go over the history behind the Willett Distillery!
Tune in every Whiskey Wednesday at 5PM EST as we try any bourbon I can get my hands on and see where it falls on the list! We drop a new video each week as well as do some great prizes and giveaways on the channel as we go!
Also, every Tuesday at 4PM I will drop a picture of the bourbon whiskey I am reviewing that next day and you can guess what the score will be. The person who guesses closest will get a shoutout on the channel as well as entered in a monthly drawing for a cool prize including koozies, face masks, merchandise and more. So make sure you swing by my Instagram @BourbonOfTheWeek and click that follow button.

I didn't reach for this bottle until I saw it for $50, I don't hate it at all for that price

I dont hate it either, just not my jam. I probably wouldnt buy another one. Although Willet is starting to build their reputation up a little bit from the pot still!

I think Noah's Mill is silly easy to drink for the proof. I've been drinking it for years and have always loved it. Current bottle is like drinking peanut butter cookies.

I love when people love bottles im not a big fan of. It just goes to show you that there is something for everyone. Im in the minority on stuff like Elijah Craig and bottles like that. The Noahs Mill and Rowans Creek arent terrible, just not for me! Thanks for checking out the video. Cheers.

Good luck on the daughter! My wife's birthday is 10/19, as well as some other random connections. I also have a willet pot still I picked up on Long Island. I'd be happy to share a sample if you want to try it. I really like it.

That's a great birthday! I appreciate the offer I'll prolly end up just pulling the trigger and buying a bottle. Worst case I have a cool infinity bottle.

Taste is taste. I just had my first Noah's Mill. I tried hard to like it, I couldn't. I'll be giving it away. Your taste may vary.

I quite like Noah's Mill and it's bottled at a decent strength. The old age statement is replaced by some speculative ages. If it's between 4 and 20 years you can bet your ass there much more of the former rather than the latter. Cute apple pie label to disguise the industrial nature of whisky production with additional corny name - Noah's Mill (and Rowan's Creek). Still, marketing is everything. In Britain you can sell the crappiest sausages made by water blasting what's left off a bony carcass and then pouring the resulting/revolting sludge into a case for sale. Next thing is to package under a name like 'Old Uncle Joe's Traditional Sausage' with a picture of rolling pastures on a pack. Nice. Back to this - It cost's about £70 in the U.K which is just too much and why I haven't bought a bottle for a number of years. That makes it more expensive than Wild Turkey Rare Breed and Four Roses Single Barrel which are just as good. I've seen it in blind head to heads with Booker's and do quite well and now you can't buy Bookers it's an option. I remember it having a highly nutty profile. As I write I'm thinking more and more that it's the price that's my problem. (My apologies for sounding like a stuck record.) If it was £60 I'd be more inclined to buy the odd bottle. We pay hefty prices for bourbon in the U.K and we can buy some pretty impressive Scotch for £60-70 (although the Scotch world is insane as the bourbon world). There's some really great rum for this kind of money as well. Noah's Mill seems to be regarded as a bit better than Rowan's Creek and Booker's is off the table. In the U.K we're running out of options so this is an option for bourbon fans that want that kind of bourbon profile. By the way, whisky will make you broke, especially on the experimental start to middle of the journey. You have more important things on the way my friend so keep an eye on that. Plus, there's just a ton of off overpriced rip-off stuff on the market which really ain't worth it (think of those sausages).

Ironically after I read this comment and backed out of the video a giant ad for Johnsonville sausages popped up right underneath the comments 😂

At least if you buy the willett pot still you'll have a sweet decanter after you dump all the bourbon down the drain!
