  • @lmtn

    @lmtn

    8 ай бұрын

    I'm glad you found the video informative! The blower used in the video is not for generating cold air but rather to supply a controlled stream of air to the oil burner. This added airflow helps with the combustion process by providing oxygen to the burning oil, which results in a more efficient and cleaner burn. It's an essential component in the setup to ensure the burner functions properly. If you have any more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask. May God bless you as well!

    Tama ka diyan, pagkukumpara ng paggamit ng gasolina at LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) ay may mga pagkakaiba talaga. Ang LPG ay mas ligtas kaysa gasolina pagdating sa posibilidad ng sunog o pagsabog, dahil ito ay mas mababa ang poin ng singaw at kung may leak, mas madali itong matunton at mapigilan. Ngunit, ito ay hindi nangangahulugang walang panganib sa paggamit ng LPG. Importante pa rin na sundan ang mga tamang hakbang sa pag-install at paggamit nito upang maiwasan ang anumang aksidente. May mga patakaran at regulasyon ka ba sa lugar mo tungkol sa paggamit ng LPG? Napakahalaga ng kaligtasan, lalo na pagdating sa mga gawain na may kinalaman sa mga flammable substances. Ano ang mga hakbang na isinusunod mo para masigurong ligtas ang paggamit mo ng LPG sa iyong sasakyan o bahay?

    Putting the copper pipe in the concrete would mean you have to heat the concrete first, then then the heat transfers to the copper, then finally to the water - losing efficiency. This burner is also designed to put heat out of the top, to deliver it for cooking (or whatever). I do not understand what he was making at the end with candle was and what looked like sawdust. The copper will oxidize and fail sooner if not protected from air, so you are on the right track. I looked at high efficiency “condensing” water heaters some years ago. They run hot combustion gasses through stainless steel coils surrounded by water until the combustion products (CO2 and H2O vapor) have transferred their heat to the hot water tank. They use stainless steel because the condensing water vapor from the exhaust would corrode copper or ordinary steel. My suggestions for your project - 1) skip the concrete, and shield the outer wall of your project with kaolin (a safe, non-asbestos product) so it isn’t burning to touch 2) use a stainless coil for combustion if you can 3) use copper to heat your water, shielded by aluminum, stainless, or a build a heat exchanger (like an automobile radiator) Two walls, sealed from air, copper coils between, and something that passively conducts heat like aluminum or copper powder. You don’t want water or radiator fluid because of corrosion and pressure. I think it’s feasible without welding, but it gets more complicated the more I think about it. It’s been 3 months since your comment - have you gotten anywhere? My project ideas usually take some time to “age” properly. Or get around to!

  • @lmtn

    @lmtn

    8 ай бұрын

    You bring up an important point. Galvanized parts can release toxic fumes when exposed to high heat. To ensure safety when building or using devices like the one in the video, it's essential to avoid using galvanized components. Instead, consider using non-galvanized, heat-resistant materials for all parts of the burner and its associated components. Safety should always be a top priority when working on DIY projects. Thanks for highlighting this concern!

I know that’s a lot to ask but there is one more feature that would blow the design out the water. Make it mount too a wall and swap from outside to inside. During summer you can fire it up outside. During winter you can fire it up inside. You would sell them like like crazy I bet

    Cool! Maybe you could make an electricity-free blue flame oil stove by heating water to produce steam and turn a steam turbine connected to a blower? Thanks!

    Already been done. There's a KZread video here about that same concept... But instead of turbine... It directly uses steam to suck and blow air into the burning chamber.

    @@Thigsy Yeah I’ve seen that, the thing I was curious about though was if you could harness even more energy from the steam (like the heat) to turn a blower to feed more air in, since a blower produces a low-pressure high-volume flow while a jet of steam is mostly high pressure but quite low volume (while also having a lot of heat that could’ve gone to produce even more airflow)

    @@xmysef4920 Just attach fan blades with bearings on a shaft in the air inlet tube. the heat will pull air in and the blades will turn with the inrush of air to increase the cfm. similar to compressor blades on a turbine engine. No electricity, or complicated design, or excessive increase in cost for materials needed.

    Use single pipe for oil and vacuum ....

  • @lmtn

    @lmtn

    4 ай бұрын

    If you're looking for a device or equipment that uses a single pipe for both oil and vacuum, you might be referring to a vacuum pump system that incorporates an oil lubrication mechanism. This type of vacuum pump typically uses oil both as a lubricant for moving parts and as a sealant to maintain vacuum pressure. However, it's important to note that while these pumps use a single pipe for both functions, they are designed to keep the oil separate from the vacuumed gases or vapors. The oil lubricates the moving parts inside the pump, while the vacuumed gases are expelled through a separate outlet. These types of pumps are commonly used in various applications, including laboratory equipment, HVAC systems, and industrial processes. As for specific models and prices, it would depend on the brand, capacity, and specifications you require. You can find these pumps from various suppliers and manufacturers specializing in vacuum equipment.

    Could that be build without an electrical Fan for heating off grid campsites??

  • @lmtn

    @lmtn

    8 ай бұрын

    Yes, it's possible to build a similar stove without an electrical fan for heating off-grid campsites. The electrical fan in the design is used to improve the airflow and combustion efficiency. However, you can create a wood-burning stove or heater that operates without electricity. It won't have the same level of automation or heat distribution, but it can still provide heat in off-grid settings. These types of stoves have been used for centuries for heating and cooking in areas without electricity. Be sure to follow safety precautions when building and using such stoves in outdoor or off-grid environments.

  • @lmtn

    @lmtn

    7 ай бұрын

    Achieving a blue flame in a waste oil burner can be challenging but is often associated with more complete combustion. It's crucial to ensure proper air-fuel mixture, consistent oil supply, and appropriate burner design. You might consider adjusting air and fuel ratios, cleaning or replacing burner components, and ensuring the waste oil quality meets the necessary standards. However, please be cautious and follow safety guidelines when experimenting with burner settings. If you have specific questions or need further guidance, feel free to ask. Your interest in improving your waste oil burner is commendable! 😊🔵🔥

    can we use used cooking oil/palm oil?

  • @lmtn

    @lmtn

    8 ай бұрын

    Yes, you can typically use used cooking oil or palm oil in certain types of waste oil burners. These burners are designed to efficiently burn various types of waste oils, including used cooking oil. However, it's essential to ensure that the oil you're using is clean and free of contaminants. If you're using waste palm oil, be cautious about any impurities or residues that may be present. Keep in mind that the specific burner design and the type of waste oil you can use may vary. Always follow safety guidelines and the recommendations provided by the manufacturer of the burner you're using. Additionally, local regulations may apply, so it's a good idea to check with your local authorities regarding the use of waste oil burners.

  • @lmtn

    @lmtn

    7 ай бұрын

    Absolutely! Using black pipe instead of galvanized is a crucial consideration in projects like this. Galvanized pipes can release harmful fumes when heated, which is why they are not recommended for applications involving fire or high temperatures. Black pipe, on the other hand, is designed for these conditions, making it a safer and more suitable choice. Thanks for emphasizing this important point and contributing to the discussion! 🔧🔥👍
