Solid assessment...I expect the vikings defense to take a step forward, IE top 12. As far as the Vikings Offense goes, It will take a few games to realize its potential..Kirk will be misses, but in the long run QB JJ was the right decision.

With the additions to the defense of younger and faster players this D will be a force. I really hope that Darnold has a great season so that they don't have to rush JJM.

I hope Aaron Jones stays healthy. This is my one concern with him.

I hope JJ doesn’t have to start one game this year, the Vikings are better off with Darnold starting and having a solid season letting JJ sit and learn he’ll be way better off in the end. JJets and Addison will hold down the Offense and Brian Flores will hold down the Defense.

The Vikings are a sleeper to be a contender. If JJ comes in and plays at least like a game-manager they’ll win 10+ games w/ all the talent they have.

Darnold as done that in his last 2 seasons, so I'd expect him to do that from week 1. I don't know if we'll even see JJ this season, which would be a good thing. It would mean Darnold is playing well, and JJ is getting plenty of time to learn and progress.

I thought the Vikes were serious contenders before Cousins got hurt. They were actually better than S.F. and I thought S.F. was the best team last year until they played the Vikes

Solid assessment. Some folks have overlooked the overall additions at each layer of the defence - which are more than the players themselves, but complementary skills and physicality. Two long CBs in Khyree and UDFA Dwight McGlothern, an experienced back in Shaq Griffin. The 3 interchangeable and versatile edge rushers, but also Tillery, Jihad Ward & Jonah Williams as solid rotational guys on that line, that also upgrade the depth from last year. Cashman replaces Hicks with size, speed and youth, and enables Asamoah the space to continue developing as an understudy and rotational option. Consider also that ever descriptor folks use about McCarthy also apply exactly to Sam Darnold...

JJ is pretty much set up to be a Brock Purdy. Same head coach with the same mindset from the same coaching family tree. With an ace WR in Justin. Then, a seasoned vet at RB with Joan's.

Until we update our Guard position I won’t be too excited. Ingram is horrible and Bradbury gets beat too many times. We brought in Feeney for depth; unless he takes over the Center position and Bradbury to Guard that would be great 😊

And these are all the same things said about Mac Jones..... pro system, natty, good coaching...... please tell me how being almost 40th in passing yards and TD's is evidence that we improved at QB? We got the 6th best qb in the division now, and we're supposed to make a playoff run? We're finishing 3rd and 4th in the division the next few years.

First off I’m a Michigan guy. Watched every snap he took at Michigan. EVERY SNAP Michigan was a RUN offense period that was Jim’s style. JJ can throw run scramble an is smart. Doesn’t make many mistakes. Only 4 pics all last year. |NOW you must also remember JJ didn’t play the fourth quarter not any of the first 9 games last year. No one minute. Why because by the third they had such a lead JIM would him out. That’s why his stats weren’t as high. It’s almost like he didn’t play two full games that’s 9 quarters he was on the bench. Trust JJ is going to do very well. Jim Harbaugh played a very pro style offense which prepared JJ very well for the NFL

I'm sick of this franchise choking, shanking kicks, mid-season meltdowns downs. Based on everyone's logic, Stenson Bennett should be a star. He was on an elite team and won back to back championships. And Bennett's stats sh*t all over Mccarthy. So winning a natty on an elite defense, run game, and coach means nothing.
