I have never seen a pump pit like that for a shallow water pump. Thanks for showing it. The shallow pumps I know are in the basement or garage .

19:56 I had this happen to me many times... This is why I only use Stainless or Brass fittings...
It's amazing when growing up with well water how fast you learn how to fix it. P.S. hope you never have foot valve problems.

Oh I did years ago. I had to lower it because the water table had dropped.
Always backup a fitting with another wrench so it doesn't break off

Your support hole is there to remove the pipes out the well
I have had bad luck with pvc in sunlight over time . Perhaps cover the new PVC with something to keep off the light?

I think I’m going to replace the pvc with some type of metal when I find something appropriate.
Ouch, if that happened to me one thing after another, i think i would realy go mad.

Its a Dads' job!
You should order and replace that pump when convenient rather than wait for the pump or motor to go in the middle of the winter on a weekend .
