Bro but if you use shift + loop in , you don´t lose any features!! Same for Shift + "Beat Jump", which there are 6 spare slots. For example I use "shift + loop in" for loop in and "shift + loop out" for slip mode. Its great!! :)

Great tip! Thanks. I'm going to try the midi mapping option. I love my 400 and was thinking of upgrading to the DDJ 800 and but I see no reason to leave my 400. (Outside of the jog display of the 800) It does everything I need.

Few weeks ago the deck 2 of my DDJ400 was no longer in vinyl mode. At first i couldn't figure out what was wrong, than noticed the blue ring was gone on deck 2. Found out the reason, but couldn't find the default key to change it and dived in the hotkey configurations to set up this exact feature. Must know tip for RB user imo.

Just seen the ad for crossfader and I absolutely love it!

Hi ther, u did a great sharing! Very helpful. I just have 1 problem with ddj 400, whenever i do scratching, sometimes the scratch track move by it self, i mean, it wont stop at the place i want and hold, and i have to repeatedly keep turning the jog wheel to the cue point..sometime the track would not move even i turn the jog wheel.. Hope u understand the problem.. I dont know how to say it... Am i the only one having that? 😅 Thx bro..

The problem is that you can't output the other channels on the DDJ-400

I wonder if remapping some features to stream deck works. that would be cool.

The mic is run externally to the software on the 400 :)

that was an awesome hack Jamie. however could please tell us how to change the CFX settings from filter to noise to jet in the mixer section using the same hack because i didn't get that option.

You have to activete the "FX" section in the top of Recordbox.

Since we're on the DDJ-400 Midi mapping topic - I've been wondering and maybe you would know... is there a way to use the Beat FX Level / Depth Knob and on/off button using FILTER as a Sound Color FX rather than on selected beat intervals so you can use the button to activate and deactivate the Sound Color Filter like on Pioneer's club mixers and all-in-ones? Same question... Did you find a solution? I literally can't find anything about it especially for the filter effect and it is just killing me.

I need help with the settings of my Rekordbox and hope that someone can help me :) Although the vinyl mode is activated (blue circle around the BPM), the "scratching" (finger movement) or song stop (when holding the finger on it and not moving) unfortunately does not always work. Often it reacts as if I turn the turntable sideways (song becomes faster/slower). I only have this problem on the left side of the DDJ400 controller. I strongly suspect it is due to a setting. Please help me and sorry for my bad english!

Thanks for the video almost what I was looking for. When CDJ mode at decks is enabled, if you push pause you will hear very small loop. It's very helpfull when setting up a cue point on the go, as you can hear transient of the kick. Any chance to enable it?

Good to know. It's always annoying when accidentally touching the jog when reaching upper buttons and you got your track messed up

Just use the side of the wheel to pitch bend

Rekordbox DJ and it works with all Pioneer DDJ controllers apart from the 1000SRT and SB3

We can't speak Italian unfortunately, Holland does say "Ferrari" a lot though so we might send him for lessons!

WIth no visual indication what mode you are in, this is pretty bad in a realistic scenario I guess. If you really need that feature, you should probably "cue up" a more expensive controller in the long run.
