Me too! I have been crying all day yesterday bc I have two back discs and nerves that are totally damaged. The Dr told me that I can't do any workouts involving lower back in my life😞 no dead lifts or squats. I am such a workout lover! I am happy I found this too

Same here . . . I hv been so distressed for the past 6 months . . . My backbone is degenerating at an alarming rate . . N i can't do any major exer without stressing more on my back. 🙏
Fun fact: I’ve been following your KZread page for 10 years and this is my first time commenting on one of your videos. I’ve also injured my back handful of times throughout my 20 years of lifting. Your videos have positively changed my healthy lifestyle! Thanks 🙏 Steve!
This videos couldn’t come at a better time. I’ve been suffering from sciatica pain for the past 7 months bc of a L5 S1 bulging disc. Just had my 3rd ozone shot and feeling much better, before I couldn’t even put my socks on without that shooting pain, now I can put my shoes painless again! Today is the first day that gyms reopen here in Oregon so that pre workout in conjunction with the tips at the video would definitely help me get back on track!! 🙏🏼💪🏼
THANK YOU! Have been battling an L4 L5 S1 bulging disc for about a year and a half now . And still trying to keep my gym routine as normal as possible. Between flare ups. THIS JUST HELPED TREMENDOUSLY!! Thank you for posting! Plz keep these coming !!
fun fact you were the first person I started watching on KZread, have learned so much over the years, really appreciate it
Same. L4L5 herniated discs since I was 16(I'm 25 now). I appreciate this video a lot Steve!! I use the back squat(where you sit on the machine and squat not the one that goes on your shoulders) and leg press.
Been dealing with a back Injury for like two months now, yeah it sucks. Fun Fact: watching someone like yourself document there journey through back pain and how they recover and come back from that maybe the best fitness video on KZread.

How long until the back pain went away I’ve also had a injury for 2 months
Hey Steve thank you for this video I struggle with my back problems regularly. I will be adding this to my routine. This is my first time commenting even though I have watched for years. You have been a huge inspiration and influence in my fitness journey. Thanks brother keep up the good work and good luck with your back!
I am sitting in Germany and watching the Video. I love vlogs like that. Thanks for producing it for us Steve!👍🏼💪🏼
I’m your #1 fan. I’m from South Africa but living in Canada for 20 years yikes. You inspire me to workout each day, I look forward to your vlogs. My sister living in South Africa had a brain aneurysm and has been in hospital for 4 months she’s now in rehab and has to work her way back to being strong. I haven’t seen her in 14 years!!!! That’s something I haven’t told anyone on KZread 😊
This is perfect! I’ve been having the same issues with my back. Back to the gym today for the first time in 2 weeks. Thanks for the tips!
This past Monday i woke up with the most debilitating back pain i've ever had. Took it easy for a couple days and was so happy to see you uploaded this!! Going to go do this now & getting a spicy deluxe right after :)
Decided to train for a marathon this year so there's no excuses with training after gyms being closed for the last year, and 2 days ago I benched 315 for the first time since Feb 1st 2020 which was a lifetime PR. Back at training, hitting some deadlifts today! Tried your chocolate protein, and love it. Would love to win this giveaway to try out your pre-workout!
I'm gonna show this video to my husband! So we can try these workouts since we both have back issues that sometimes prevent us from working out. Thank you for this!
Been waiting on a video like this. I broke my back 2 years ago. Now have 2 rods 8 screws and a Jack in my back. Can never squat or deadlift again in life. Finally a leg workout that’s not based around squatting. Thanks Steve!
I’ve been a personal trainer since July 2019 and I am on client #7! Thanks for the informational video Steve love to see it!!
fun fact: when i was freshman i wanted to learn more about lifting to get better at football and a stumbled across a man by the name of steve cook. now for 5 years i always been watching his videos and almost every workout and routine i know was from watching his videos.
Fun fact: I was an obese teenager who spent all my time playing video games. At 19, I lost about 50 lbs and began to notice loose skin so I decided I wanted to build a "little bit" of muscle.I found a workout plan called "Big Man on Campus" by one Steve Cook. I'm now 27, with a physique I used to dream about, and am graduating from UCF with a B.S. in Exercise Science.
I had an L5 S1 discectomy just over a year ago so I avoid going heavy with anything on the spine. Thanks for some reminders for myself but also great tips!
Love the videos!! Thanks for the motivation Steve!
Man I love your workouts, you are amazing and absolute idol to so many guys like me. Thank you for so much information and great workouts. Keep growing and keep slaying workouts.
Perfect timing on this vid, tweaked my back a week ago, feeling ready to hit legs again
Also coming back from a lower back injury, thanks for another great vid! Something about me is I like taking my dog on runs in the morning.
Thanks man I’m 6,5 & I’ve had a bad back & knees my whole life and I’ve always struggled w leg day because majority of Leg lifts are hard in the back
Liked seeing the rehab part of the video for the bulging disc. I’m in PTA school right now so it was cool to listen to your PT explain the stretches.
sneaker heads punching the air when he creased the shoes when pushing the sled 😂
i’m loving theese every day uploads keep up the good work
Can't wait to try the new supplement line. Keep up the awesome videos!
Thanks Soooooo much for this video! I so needed this🤗🤗
Great tips Steve! 💪
Hey Steve- Just wanted to say hey and say that I liked your vlog. Im a retired cop from central NY. Been in the gym for prob half my life. Several years ago I injured my back and now have a herniated disc in my lower back. Delt with it mostly by myself through the years but have seen a chiropractor on occasion. Recently I " threw it out again" but this time it was different. Ended up in the ER and came home with muscle relaxers and pain medication. Want to get back in the gym but was hesitant to train my lower body. Your video was extremely informative and gave me some hope to continue training. Thank you again and as always TRAIN ON!
Fun fact: I am more effective in the gym injured than when healthy, Steve is right when you really have to worry about form to protect your back.
I have literally the same injury as you, disc bulge in lower back (I got injured doing heavy squats). Thanks for this video I'm going to try this at the gym tomorrow! I hope I heal up and I hope you are feeling well too. Great physique btw.
Love the back pain support group that this comment section is. This video is a rare gem for us gym rats with back issues
Thanks for mentioning - Leg extension - Hamstring curls - Lunges Don't forget the additional exercises easy on back and keeps spine straight: 1. Single leg squat, with resting foot on a bench/stair 2. Front dumbbell squat with lower weights 3. Hamstring bridge (feet further away from glutes) 4. Leg press, Machine squat press I recently recovered from L4 bulge and L5-S1 herniated disc in 3 months. Still don't do high risk or heavy weight lifting.
fun fact - i was planning to skip squats tomorrow for my leg day coz i dont feel like it and then i came across your video which i'll be following tomorrow. thanks also please pray for my mom's health, she has been detected with stage 4 lung cancer. thanks in advance. love and respect :)

Finally a video that takes into consideration back injury prevention.
You inspired me to drive 2 hours to try Chick-fil-A for the first time in my life and now I’m seriously considering moving so that I can have it regularly... Steve cook changing lives for the better
Hey Steve. Great to see that your back is allowing you to get back at it.
That is exactly what i needed i am dealing with some back pain for a long time now and cannot do squats without any pain😬
I recently tore my AC joint in my shoulder but, I’m still gonna hit this leg workout today. Shoulder is injured, legs are fine. LGI
I herniated a disc in my lower back about a month ago. thank you for this!
Preciate this video Steve broke my C5 and C6 back in September and I just got the ok to workout again just no squats so this video is clutch
I’ve never realized how much I cared about people creasing Jordan 1s until I saw Steve pushing a sled.
I'm currently in school to be a PTA. Physical therapist assistant. Awesome your doing Physical therapy. You made the right choice. And today we learned about spine segments. New exactly were the L4-L5 is. Keep at Physical therapy is life saving
I always watch Steve’s videos at work. A co-worker asked me to DM him on insta and bet me that he wouldn’t respond back. So I asked Steve to make a golf vlog (b4 the golf vlog). Steve responded back and said “Okayy!!” Made my day! 👍👍
Always a good vibe even when injured. I can see Steve and Ross Edgley being best friends haha
Get well soon Steve and something about me is that I am really into running.
Great video. I have a bad low back. Those pt exercises are exactly the same ones I do. Wish I had known 20 years ago.🤷♂️
Fun fact: I found you by following Morgan! I had heard your name before but never really knew who you were! Now I loveeee your content and obviously love it with Morgan too!
Thanks man. I’ve been experiencing low back pain after leg day for about a month or so. Going to switch to something like this so I don’t fuck my back up.
I'm such an advocate of pre workout that I have started taking it for studying and latenight working too.
Love your stuff, Steve. Enjoyed watching this video. Carlos & Bex
Working on my NSCA-CPT! Failed by .2% on my first try in December, but not letting that hold me back, taking the exam again and gonna pass it this time 🙏🏼💪🏼
Super hyped about Steve Cooks Video February👍👍👍
I like to watch your KZread videos at least for two hours every single day in my car. So hopefully I can get some of that pre-workout.
Aye thanks for the stretching information Steve, I hurt my back last year and re-injured it 3 times (yikes) I finally learned after the 3rd time that I have to properly warmup lol.
Fun fact: made it a goal to get my first full unassisted chin up and pull ups during quarantine up here in Canada - and I just achieved both! Next up: 135 lb bench press 💪🏻
Fun fact; I watch your KZread videos every morning to motivate me, so it gets me started for the morning in lockdown💪🏻
Great Upload Steve keep it up! 🔥💯
Great workout!! I may have to try it!! 🦵💪
I’ve seen all your videos for the past ten years and I’m not a creep lol Sup Steve!!
Usually don't watch Mr.Cook's videos but this one is solid.
great tips ! i once was part of the fear factor show in diseney !
Steve cook singlehandedly made me love leg day!
My right quad is bigger and stronger than my left, I could really use that pre workout to help get them even. I used to watch your epic collabs with Calum von Moger and you are my inspiration.
Got my wife a peloton for Christmas.. She didnt know santa brought it for me 🤫 Love the vids, long time viewer. Ordering supps soon so I can support the CULTURE!

Fun fact: I haven’t missed a Steve Cook video since 2016. Double fun fact: I am just finishing a tub of the culture cookies and cream and have loved it. Excited to try more.
Fun Fact: you were one of two top celebrities I wanted to meet. So thank you for allowing me to work out at your gym and being super awesome to talk to!!
Steve Cook 💪 great guy remember the day I met him in person so humble 💙
Thanks bro i needed this video
I lost over 30kg and turned it into pure muscle, I now have a six pack and Im so much more happy in myself. My transformation to a better life took just under 3 years :) Love you Steve, youre an inspiration.
Perfect timing! I have an injured back too
Awesome video! I blew my back squatting two weeks ago and have been seeing the chiro and PT. Love the belt squats! By the way, what shorts are those? Need me a pair
I must say your hair looks great in this vlog Steve!
Fun fact: working out is the best part of my day. And Steve is the 🐐🐐🐐
after a light jog I got lower back pain now Im here , thanks again
Thank you man,you saved my leg days!
Fun fact: for the first time in my life I’m needing to do cardio, age is catching up with my metabolism. 😭 glad we have Steve Cook for the constant motivation!
Oo I finally found a video where the person is training and have the same injury as me I have herniated disc, well four outta my five I think was messed up back in January and last week I re aggravated it and now I’m forcing myself to train because I have a goal I need to accomplish
What a timing.. I too suffer from disc bulge ...Don’t tell any one .. love your videos 💥💥
I'm a pro golfer and a huge fan of you Steve. Your videos have made my golf game a lot better. We need to get out and play! Thanks! PS I hope that is considered a fun fact haha.
I enjoy this video!! LEG workout YAAAS!!!
Fun fact: Steve is the first fitness you tuber I subscribed to after watching the gymshark Australia pop up videos
What KZread doesn’t know is I’m currently training for the St. George marathon trying to qualify for Boston, while being able to bench 300 and squat 375 all at the same time, weighing 165! Let’s get that box so I can get stacked like Steve!
I skipped SWOLE program Mobility day today.. but now I feel bad and will probably do it tonight.
NEEDED THIS. It's impossible to get a squat rack at the gym rn
Steve's leg game is 100% deep cuts ehhh on point. Summer quads!!
Threw my back out during a petography shoot- found a phenomenal Chiropractor correcting minimally for minor spinal adjustments over time (I feel phenomenal-I also do 3 main yago movemts for my back). Then I too THEM on as a client and shot their maternity session a few months later. Delivering their sneak peak today! But his chiro practice and those 3 yago movement stretches saved my back that apparently had a heck of a curve to the right in it. Correcting it over time.
Fun fact: I’ve finally started to build recovery time into my days after your last few videos!
I can still do funny cartoon impressions like kermit frog, daffy duck, goofy, and so on. Love freedom of laughing and silliness even with near b-day of "40" in a few weeks! Happy healing 👊💪
i have the same problem from 2018 i can't wait to see more videos about training group muscles with a bulge disc
I actually tweaked my back the day before you posted about tweaking yours 😬 Not nearly as bad but back pain is no joke!
Watched this video post leg day and will definitely implement some of these moves next time as I also suffer from lower back pain. Something no one knows is that I have been an athlete all my life and been lifting for years but still cant do a pull-up. Any suggestions? Haha
Fact about me: Steve Cook inspires me!
It’s my first comment on youtube sincey2009😅 Thank you very much for the most useful video for this injury ❤
Damn, hope your back properly heals up Steve!
Fun Fact: I'm just coming off covid and I have my next leg workout ready to go thanks to this vid.
Drip is lit and the sups look 🙌🏽
