    I agree with others here, your demonstration is the clearest explanation of the mechanics of the release and throw ! Thank you !

    Excellent! I'm a technical guy, and I tend to over think. It's nice to finally see a video that lays out the steps clearly and in detail (how I think). Other videos have been way too vague, and I usually end up with technical questions that weren't answered (like elbow to wrist ratio, stance, distance to target, etc.). I'll try this out!

    Best no spin tutorial on KZread! I've tried every last [published] grip tutorial out there. Yours is the only one that works for me. Could be that your the only one who bothers to detail the grip that much, but....wither way.....it works. You're a good teacher, and a great (champion! ) thrower, RC. Hope to see you in Philly or Austin this year. Keep up the good work. ...God Bless!

    I have been gifted throwing knives and want to learn how to throw accurately ( i would be so happy to be consistent but energy is random so Im just not doing something right) I have been getting alot out of these vids from you...and thank you for the safety tips...the day I heard you speak of bounce back danger I had a blade bounce and almost hit my face. I was frustrated during the throw and so I knew it was time for a break. Thanx man. Your effort is well spent....respect. Lenore Dawnstar Roswell

    Great video! Very concise and comprehensive. Minute 6:35, amen. I'm new, really new to knife throwing and I'm already spending as much time trying to drop bad habits as it took me to develop them. 2 weeks practicing incorrectly, 2 weeks trying to correct. One step forward, one step back.

    Ordered that same knife last week, hope to see it soon! The ones I have mostly CS just aren't quite right but I've learned to throw pretty well with them. Though I do have some habits forming I need to break (bullet spin I think u called it for one) but I feel like it's partially a knife balance thing also.. We shall see once shur-knife Xl gets here. Thanks for the video, it's good to go back and break habits before they get a hold

My question is from that distance or more when I throw my knives goes into target area but pops out or sometimes knives hits target flat. How can I have a better stick and accurate shot?

  • @knifethrower72194

    @knifethrower72194

    Well if it pops out your mechanics are fine, if it hits flat point up you need to throw with a looser wrist, if point down you need to push ythe knife out more or release earlier

    Thanks for the tutorial, I had bought some throwing knives out of curiosity and was completely oblivious that no-spin throwing was even a thing. And now I would like to use this as my main style of throwing, but I'm not sure if my knives would be suitable. My knives are mostly blade-heavy, I assume for a no-spin it should be more balanced out. Should I buy more balanced knives before practicing no-spin throwing?

    I've been throwing knives for about two months. I can't stop the blades from spinning hard, and it feels only by chance when the knives stick. I try to be consistent with my throwing energy, distance from target, and gripping, and I vary and experiment with the variables I just mentioned.My 5" knife set is a "Made in China" kinda deal. From distances of 2', 5', and +7' from target, how do I calculate and control the spin of the knife with sufficient force?

    That just isn't a knife..... No one is ever gonna carry something like that around. If you want to through a knife for "combat" purposes, learn how to throw a real knife.

    +A Tapir Named Jeff its a trowing knife so technically it is a knife but your right no one would carry these but if you want to learn how to trow its better to learn with these and when you get experience you can pretty much trow any knife after a few tries and figuring out the weight of that said knife
